Joseph Desha Esq. Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky to all to whom these presents
shall come Greeting Know ye that by virtue and in consideration of part of a Kentucky Land Office warrant No. 15709
there is granted by the said Commonwealth unto Emanuel Higginbotham assee of A.J. Brown and
Thomas Kenady [Kennedy] assees and a certain tract or parcel of land Containing two
hundred acres by Survey bearing date the 26th day of March one thousand eight hundred and
twenty seven lying and being in the County of Garrard on the waters of Paint Lick Creek and
bounded as followeth to wit; Beginning at three white oaks on a Creek corner to Joseph Tippet
thence with Glasgow line S43E22 poles to three sourwood thence S77 East 200 poles
to a black oak dogwood and poplar on a branch thence S46 poles to three chesnut oaks and a pine on a ridge thence
with said ridge S40W86 poles to a chesnut on said ridge thence S70W100 poles to a pine
and chesnut oak in the head of a hollow thence down the hollow N67W60 poles to a gum and maple thence N16 West 40 poles to a large
Chesnut oak thence N65W66 poles to threewhite oak on Mason's fork thencedown the same with its
meanders N50E66 poles to the intersection of John Angles and thence with him
N50 East 20 poles to a gum and white oak his corner thence with his line to the beginning with its
apputenances to have and to hold the said land or parcel and his heirs forever In
testamony whereof the said Joseph Desha Esq. Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky hath
hereto set his hand and caused the seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed at Frankfort
on the twenty ninth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and
twenty seven and of the Commonwealth the thirty ninth
