****NOTE***

 

• All times for events are tentative with the exception of the 1600m Relay and the110m Hurdles
• The Relays Festival will start promptly at 4:45 a.m.
• The Decathlon will start promptly at 11:40 a.m.
• ³/₈ inch spikes maximum
• 2000m Steeplechase will only be run if there is water in the pit, there will be no dry steeplechase, instead it will be a 1500m.
• Entries must be received via email ([email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected]) by SUNDAY JUNE 2^nd, 2002 at MIDNIGHT, after that time there will be a late fee charge of one dollar per event.
• All laned events will be run from slow heats to fast heats according to your seedtime with at least 3 people in each heat.
• Field events will be done from worst to best according to your entry seed with 3 throws/jumps per competitor.
• Please show up early to warm-up, the meet WILL start on time.

 

AWARDS:

 

An award goes to the winner of the overall Decathlon and the runner-up.  There will also be an Athlete of the Meet Award.  The Athlete of the Meet award will be decided at the end of the invitational, where everyone will vote for a person.  This person that is being nominated for the award must not have gotten 1^st or 2^nd in the Decathlon, must compete in every event, must have put forth maximum effort in every event, should have won a couple of events and placed near the top in most of the events and shows versatile skills, in throwing, jumping and both distance and sprints.

 

We expect a record number of people to attend this meet this year, so please get your entries in early.

 

***Supplies needed – 2 tape measures, rakes, shovels, 2 shotputs and 2 discuses.  If anyone can bring these items please contact either John Lynch ([email protected]) or Sam Silver ([email protected]).

 

In case a problem does arise at the SATA Relays Festival or the SATA Decathlon, the Jury of Appeals will handle it accordingly.  The responsibilities of the Jury of Appeals consists of handling:

§         disqualifications of an athlete in an event for unnecessary conduct

§         changes of when an event is run on the day of the meet

§         spur of the moment decisions at the meet
