OFFICIAL RULE PAGE FOR
THE LEAGUE OF CHAMPIONS
League Mission: to provide a fun, competitive league, that mimicks an actual nfl franchise as closely as possible and has the parody to allow all owners the ability to be successful year in and year out.
Welcom to The League of Champions where the goal isn't a single championship, the goal is to have a dynasty.  The league will consist of 12 of the best teams in fantasy football history divided into 4 divisions of 3 teams. The league will square off in head-to-head battle over a season of 13 regular weeks and 3 weeks of playoffs.

Schedule:
Each team will play their divisional foes the first and last 2 games of the season. All teams will play each other at least one time. The regular season will run the first 13 weeks of the nfl season. The playoffs will mirror NFL weeks 14-16.

Keepers and Rosters:

This is a dynasty league, all players are kept. Each team must maintain a 28-man roster, with at least the minimum amount of required players at each position to field an active team. An injured player (defined as OUT or DOUBTFUL by NFL standards) does not count as being eligible toward the "active" team.

After our April College Draft the Rosters will be expanded to 43 players. July 15th will mark the date of the first roster cuts, all rosters must be trimmed from 43 to 38 players. The second roster cut will be August 7th from 38 to 33. And the final roster cut will be  Sept 1st from 33 to 28. All roster cuts must be in by 9pm the day they're due, if not received then the last 5 players added to your roster (except by trade) will be returned to the free agent pool. No exceptions. You may release more than 5 players at any of the cuts if so desired, however each team must maintain a 28-man roster.

Prior to March 1st all players on the injured reserve must be re-added to your 28 man roster or they will be released to the free agent pool.

Taxi Squad and Injured Reserve:
Upon making final cuts owners are permitted, but not required, to place up to 3 rookies or second year players on the taxi squad. These players are protected from other owners but are not eligible to play until activated to the 28-man roster. Once a player has been activated from the taxi squad he may be returned to squad but only after he has been exposed to and cleared waivers. When a player is activated you must make room on your roster. Optons- release a player. If a  player is a rookie or second year player you can attempt to add him to the practice squad, but he will have to clear waivers. You can move a player to the IR, if applicable. Players on the Taxi Squad may not be traded without first being activated.

If a player is placed on the NFL's injured reserve, you will have the ability to the same. The owner may add a free agent via the waiver wire or taxi squad to the active roster and still maintain ownership of the injured player. To add a player via the IR you will be allowed an extra pick at your location in the waiver order, you must make the commissioner aware that it is an IR-move. Again, all IR players must be re-added to your active roster prior to March 1st of the following year or they will be automatically returned to the free agent pool.

Waiver Wire and Free Agency:
The Waiver Wire will run from March 1st through the week of the League Championship. Each team will have the ability to make one move per week. We will use a bidding system where the owner with the worst record and total points will pick first and the best team will pick last.

Waiver wire for off season. A lottery will be held on Feb 28th to determine the waiver order for the 6 teams that failed to make the playoffs. The playoff teams will be seeded in the order they finished.

College Entrance Draft:

Approximately 2 weeks following the NFL's college draft, we will conduct a draft as well. The order will be the same as that used by the waiver wire. Although this is our college entrance draft it will
NOT be limited to exiting college players only. If a team would rather use their pick on an established unprotected NFL player that is their decision. The draft will consist of 15 rounds, and the rosters will be expanded to 43 until first roster cuts on July 15th.

Starting Lineups:

1 Qb, 2 Rb, 3 Wr, 1 Te, 1 DL, 1 Lb, 1 Db, 2 defensive players any position, 1 Spt
--see web site for scoring.

Playoffs:
4 division winners and 2 wildcards. Seeding for playoffs will be based on total points for div winners and total points for wildcards, not record. Top div winners get 1st rd bye, bottom div winners play wildcards in rd 1.

Trades:
Trades are permitted. Subject to review by commissioner. Disputed trades will be put to league vote on RARE occassions. All trades must be perceived to benefit BOTH teams. Draft picks can be traded, no more than 1 year in advance. A team may not receive a player he traded away directly from the same team he traded it to.

There is a monetary system established for trading away picks; that money will go toward your team's deposit for next season.
1st rd- 50% of league fees; 2nd -40%, 3rd- 30%; 4th- 25%; 5th- 20%; 6th and up 10%. If a team does not have enough in his bank to cover the trade, he will have to pay the commissioner before the trade can be executed. There is no limit to the number of traded draft picks, except that you cannot exceed total league fees for the year. Example: trading 1st, 2nd, and 6th would equal 100% league fees for next season.
