Am I visible?
(kinda kiddish!) wat do expect from an 11 yr old kid then? i was dat age when i wrote this..one of my earliest attempts! :)

Ted was a very inquisitive kid of 11, who lived with his uncle, Mr. Fred, at the outskirts of London, where there wasn't much populace. His uncle being an amateur scientist, used to conduct bizarre experiments in his mini lab. Ted had always enjoyed gazing at those colorful liquids which at times released smoke and fumes. One day, while Ted's uncle was conducting an experiment in his lab, the phone bell rang. "Who could it be...at this odd hour?", thought uncle Fred. "Don't touch anything Ted", warned his uncle, as he left his lab to answer the phone call. All those colorful chemicals fascinated Ted. He picked one of the jars with a green liquid and sniffed it. Within minutes, he felt himself disappear. He had become invisible! To confirm this, he ran out of the lab into the main room where uncle Fred was talking over the phone. He stood right in front of uncle Fred, but was invisible to him.
"Uncle Fred! Can you see me, uncle Fred?" asked Ted.
"Ted! Where are you talking from?" exclaimed uncle Fred as he hung the phone up.
"I'm here, standing right in front of you! Can't you see me!?"
"No my child! You're invisible! Did you upset any jars in the lab?"
"Oh I don't really know, I just sniffed that green chemical and I could feel myself disappearing!"
"Didn't I ask you not to do anything as such. You've probably sniffed chomohiphide. It's not supposed to be sniffed!", said uncle Fred rather coolly. He was as calm as ever. Nothing affected him in any way.
"anyway Ted, just don't go anywhere now, I'll get back to you in a jiffy. I gotta check something in the lab, perhaps I might find a way out.", saying so, he left. But Ted didn't listen to what his uncle said. "Why the hell should I stay here…let me enjoy my time outside fooling people. Uncle Fred will never know it, I'm invisible after all!" he thought. His eyed brimmed with mischief. Ted loved adventures. So he set out on one. He wanted to see what it was like to be invisible.
At first he went to the theatre and watched his favorite movie, Mission Impossible II, for free!.
Later, he went to the mall, and fooled people. He'd whisper into someone's ear and just watch the person's reaction when he'd find that the whisper came from nowhere! "oh, I am enjoying for sure!" thought Ted. It was then that Ted saw two thieves pick pocketing a man. He wanted to tell this to the man, but couldn't. so he decided to do it himself. He pinched one of the thieves really hard.
"oow!" the thief yelled out loud. Hearing the yell, the man whom they were pick pocketing, turned back and saw the two thieves. They had his wallet in their hands and thus the man understood. He at once called the security guard and handed them over to him. Suddenly, a strong wind blew inside the mall which made everyone close their eyes. It was Ted. He had turned visible again!
Everyone stared him hard, as he was glowing. "Oh no! this is bad" whispered Ted to himself. Once everything got over, people gathered around him, looking at him with utter wonder. Ted blushed really hard. He had never been the center of attention before. He tried running out of the mall, pushing the crowd, but the security guard caught hold of him. There was a swarm of news reporters around him now. Ted cursed the chemical chomohiphide, while cameras flashed on his face. He was believed to be an alien, possessing the power of getting invisible and visible anytime. Ted was confused. The journalists kept bugging him asking silly questions, "can you speak English?", "and are you from Mars?" "where's your space ship?" but Ted was silent. He really didn't want to get into this. Just then, he heard a voice,
"Ted! C'mon get up! You're not supposed to be sleeping in the lab!" it was his uncle Fred. Ted woke up startled. He had been possibly dreaming all the while.
"uncle, can you really see me?" exclaimed Ted.
"Huh? Now what sort of a question is this?" asked uncle Fred surprisingly.
"Oh nothing, really!", said Ted grinning.
"Whatever, its time for dinner now. Lets have it before its late." And uncle Fred left for the kitchen.
Just before coming out of the lab, Ted's eyes fell upon that same green chemical. He was taken aback. Out of curiosity, Ted opened and sniffed it. But nothing as expected happened. He was still visible. Ted smiled naughtily as he saw Uncle Fred standing right in front of him tapping his foot!
