Chapter 7

"Would you shut up and lower your voice, you are going to wake up everyone in the house." I heard Maxie whisper as I slowly walked down the stairs. It was only 7:30 and I was woken up by Maxie's cell phone ringing. Her room is right next to mine so I could easily hear it's annoying rings ring that seemed twice as loud as they normally were. Not long after the ring I could hear Maxie leave her room and walk down stairs, followed shortly by her and Kyle arguing.

"What is going on?" I yawned as I stood beside Maxie.

"Nothing, Kyle was just about to leave." Maxie said as she glared at him. Ever since she had stolen the drugs from the hospital for him and he denied any involvment blaming it completely on Maxie, she had been avoiding him. That didn't stop him from calling her and trying to get her to forgive him.

"No I wasn't, come on Maxie!" He said a little loud.

"I am not going anywhere with you. You blew it a long time ago, Kyle. And you need to be quiet and leave before you wake up Dillon." Maxie said sternly as she motioned for him to leave through the front door that was still open.

"Dillon? What is he doing here? Did he stay the night?" He asked as he craned his neck trying to see Dillon. I turned my head and saw him laying on his stomach, suprisingly still asleep. I smiled to myself and then looked back at Kyle. I went to say something but Maxie started before I could.

"Yea, Dillon, did you not hear me right. Dillon is still asleep and you need to shut your mouth and leave, and it is none of your business why he is here." She said as she smiled coldly at him. In the time since she got in trouble because of him she had realized that he wasn't any good for her, with a little coaching from Dillon and I, and she had swore she wouldn't fall for all of his lies again. Our relationship since then had gotten much more solid and she even came around to actually liking Dillon, realizing that the only reason she didn't like him was because Kyle didn't. I was very proud of how she had handled the whole situation. She even willingly went down to the station to confess everything and had to go to court and do community service, which she did without complaining.

"Kyle, leave!" Maxie said raising her voice. "Or I will go get Mac."

"Fine." He said as he turned around and left. Maxie and I just stood there for a second and then we looked at each other.

"Sorry we woke you up. He called and said he was at the front door and wouldn't leave until I talked to him. I was afraid he would wake up Dillon, but I now see that that boy could sleep through anything. He wanted me to go with him to a concert. He actually thought that Mac and mom would let me go with him for the weekend to go to a concert. Hell, I didn't even want to go." She said as she put one arm around my shoulder and hugged me to her. "How are you feeling?"

"Alright, I figure I got about an hour and a half before the morning sickness kicks in." I said as we walked past Dillon, who was still sleeping, into the kitchen. I got some juice and sat down at the table.

"You wanna go back to sleep? I'll tell everyone not to mess with you." She said reaching in the cabinet for a bowl for her cereal.

"No that is ok, me and Dillon have to go to the Quartermaine's later on to tell them and explain why Dillon is going to stay here." I said as I sighed. I wasn't to excited about having to go tell the Quartermaine's that I was pregnant.

"You'll be fine, if they start to freak out just leave." She said as she sat down across from me and began to eat her cereal.

"Yea, Dillon said he doesn't have very much stuff over there so I think we will probably grab that and then tell everyone so if we have to make a quick escape we can." I said laughing to myself, I could just picture all of the shocked looks and then the yelling that would consume my day.

"Wanna go for a walk after we get done with breakfast?" Maxie asked snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Sure, I really need to get out of here and clear my mind before Dillon and I have to go over there. I'll just tell him that we will go after the two of us get back." I said just as Dillon walked into the kitchen.

"Tell me what?" He asked running a hand through his hair and sitting down in the chair between Maxie and I. He was wearing pajama pants and a plain white t-shirt. I had woken him up many times over at his house and knew that he normally only wears boxers but I could tell by the way he was acting that he was intimidated and didn't know how to act here just yet. He was probably afraid that Mac was going to jump out from around the corner at any minute or something.

"Georgie and I are going for a walk, you know, for a little girl talk." Maxie said hinting that we wanted to go by ourselves.

"I know you probably don't want to be here by yourself, but we won't be that long and then we can go back to the Quartermaine's after we get back." I said.

"No, that's cool. I was wanting to stop by ELQ and talk to Ned. He won't be at the house later on when we go over there and I kind of want to talk to him fist, before I tell the others. I know he won't go balistic." He said as he stood back up. "Is anyone planning on getting in the shower? It'll only take me about five to ten minutes, then I'll be done."

"Go a head." I said as he walked back out of the kitchen, grabbed his bag and went upstairs to the bathroom.

"I still can't believe you are pregnant." Maxie said excitedly.

"You're telling me, it has been so hard trying to hide it. Plus we didn't even find out till I was three months along. It just happened so fast and it is just now starting to really sink in. Now that you can actually see the affects of it." I said resting my hand on my stomach. That was an action that I had found myself doing a lot of lately, sometimes without even knowing I was doing it.

"I know, but you'll be fine and Dillon is a good guy, at least he isn't a jerk, unlike some people. " She said refering to Kyle. "And think of it this way, you'll always have a babysitter on hand."

"Thanks, yea Dillon started working at ELQ right after we found out, and I am going to continue working at Kelly's for at least a couple more months. Or until I am too big to move, which ever comes first. " I said as we both laughed.

"Well I am sure Bobbie will understand, speaking of, how are you going to tell everyone? I mean eventually you REALLY wont be able to hide it and everyone will know. Even Kyle. Bye the way, thanks for letting me handle him just then, I think I really needed to be the one to tell him to get lost. It felt good!" She said smiling proudly at me.

"I knew you were going to be fine, and thanks for sticking up for Dillon to him. I was about to say something, but you beat me to it." I said as I got up and rinsed my cup out. Dillon came back downstairs, dressed and ready. It amazes me how quickly guys can get ready and still look good, it takes me forever. He folded the sheets he used and put the couch all back together and stuffed all of his things in his backpack.

"I got to go, I told Ned I would be there in ten minutes Tell your mom that I would have waited to tell her that I was going but Ned said if I didn't get in now he would be busy the rest of the day." He said as he rushed over, kissed me on the cheek and headed towards the door.

"Bye." Maxie and I both yelled after him. We took turns using the bathroom and about an hour later we were ready to go. By then it was only about 9:15 and mom was just waking up. Just as we were about to leave she walked down stairs.

"Where are you two going? Where is Dillon?" She asked as she tied the tie on her red silk robe and looked around at the livingroom that didn't look like it had been used recently.

"We are going for a walk and Dillon had to go meet Ned. He said he would have told you but it was short notice. He wanted to tell Ned before we told the other Quartermaine's. We will be back in a couple hours, and might stop at Kelly's and grab something to drink. We both have our cell phones ok?" I said as I finished putting my shoe on, a luxury I knew would be gone in a few months.

"Ok, Georgie don't push yourself, and drink a lot of water, ok. I love you girls." She said as she hugged us before we left. As we walked towards the park I started thinking about Dillon and him over at ELQ right now telling Ned that he would soon be an uncle. Atleast there are a few of the Quartermaine's that I can trust not to freak out on us. The only ones I am really worried about are Edward and AJ, there is no telling what they will say.
