Chapter 15

~~~~~~~~~~{Georgie's POV}~~~~~~~~~~
After a day of shopping with my mom I was completely exhausted. This baby was definatly doing me in more than I thought she would. When we got home Mac came out to the car and helped us carry in everything we had bought: lots of stuffed animals, clothes, diapers, bibs, and anything else you could think of.
"Where is everyone?" I asked Mac once we got into the house. It was unusually quiet.
"Maxie is at Kelly's with Kyle and Lucas." He said as we carried the bags up the stairs and into the nursery.
"What about Dillon?" I asked. I knew he didn't have to work today, maybe he went to the Quartermaine's or something.
"I'm not sure, but there is something in your room for you." He said as he smiled at me. I wasn't expecting anything that I knew of. So I left the nursery and made my way back to my room the whole time trying to figure out what Mac was talking about. I opened the door and looked around, but nothing was different. There wasn't anything waiting in here.
"Mac, I don't see anything." I yelled back. when I turned back around Dillon was standing in the doorway.
"Look a little harder next time." He said as he walked up to me. He looked like he had just stepped out of a magazine. He was wearing a pair of black slacks with a white button down dress shirt tucked in. He was even wearing a tie.
"What's the ocassion? You look like you stepped off the cover of GQ." I asked as I ran my hand up his arm and then straightened out his tie.
"That's a suprise, come on." He said as he grabbed my hand and motioned for me to follow him.
"A suprise? What kind of suprise?" I asked not yet moving.
"The whole idea of a suprise is for you not to know what it is." He said as he stood back in front of me. "If you want to know what it is then you're going to have to follow me.
"I'm not even dressed right." I said as I looked down at what I was wearing. A pair of J-Lo style maternity sweat pants and a matching jacket top.
"How do you know that you aren't dressed right?" He asked as he looked straight into my eyes, sending chills up and down my spine.
"Well look at you, you are all dressed up and I look like I just got done working out or something." I still couldn't get over how good he looked. I reached up and touched a piece of his hair that was sticking up like the rest of it.
"You couldn't look any better if you tried. Besides it might get a little chilly where we are going so this way you won't be cold." He said as he put his hand on the side of my face. I wrapped my arms around his neck and just hugged him, reveling in how good it felt and thinking about what he had just said. He took his arms from around my waist and laced his fingers with mine. "Now come on, unless you would rather stay here." He said sarcastically knowing I loved suprises.
"Yea right. You 've got me now, I'm all yours 'till you show me this suprise." I said as he looked over at me.
"Really?" He asked raising his eye brows.
"Get your mind out of the gutter." I said, smiling at how he looked so much like a little kid at that moment.
We went downstairs and said bye to my mom and Mac before leaving the house. Suprisingly we didn't get in Dillon's car, but instead we just started walking in the direction of the park. No words were exchanged between us for a while, just enjoying the quietness of the surroundings.
"How much longer?" I asked as I held onto Dillon's arm. We were now in the middle of the park, the sun had already set and no one was around leaving the crickets and the wind as the only sounds being made.
"Not to much longer, it should be right over there....." He said as he motioned with his hand around the corner. I held me breath as I slowly went around  the a tree to where he had pointed to.
"Oh my...." I was speechless, I couldn't describe what I felt at that moment.
"Do you like it?" Dillon asked coming up behind me and resting his chin on my shoulder.
"I love it." I said as I turned around to face him. He was searching my eyes, trying to see what I was thinking. I didn't say anything, I just brought his face down to mine and kissed him with every bit of love I felt for him. This was the only explanation I could give him because at the moment, words didn't seem to be enough. He leaned into the kiss more deepening it to a whole new level.
"Wait, I haven't even told you why I did this." He said as he pulled back from our kiss. His lips were swollen and red. I lightly traced his bottom lip with my thumb. He reached up and took my hand in both of his and held it against his chest. "I know you are missing your senior prom right now, so I wanted to bring it to you."
"I don't know what to say." I could feel the tears swelling in my eyes and my vision became slightly blurred before they fell down my cheeks.
"Don't cry. Do you like it?" He asked as his finger traced the same trail that my tears had just created down my cheeks. I couldn't say anything, so I just nodded. He took my hand and led me up the sairs and into the dimly lit gazebo. I looked up and little white lights were hanging down giving them the look of stars. White and Mauve colored balloons were tied to the sides of the gazebo almost providing a wall so no one could see what was inside.
"When did you do all of this?" I asked quietly not fully trusting my voice yet.
"This morning, but I had help." He said as everything started to fall into place. Everyone was gone early in the morning when my mom told me that she wanted to take me shopping. I had been so excited about shopping that I didn't give a second thought as too where everyone was.
"This is amazing." I said as I looked around again. A small CD player was partially hidden behind a pic-nic basket and a blanket.
"It's all for you, I know this won't be like prom would have been but..." He started to say but I stopped him.
"Nothing could have been more wonderful than this." I said as he leaned down and kissed me again. When he pulled away he walked over to the CD player and pressed play. A piano could be heard, the melody soft but very beautiful.
The first time I looked in your eyes I knew
I would do anything for you
The first time you touched my face I felt
What I never felt with anyone else
"May I have this dance" Dillon asked as he slowly walked back over to me and extended his hand. I took it and he wrapped his arms around my waist as I wrapped mine around his neck. I laid my head on his chest, hearing his soothing heartbeat. He rested his head in the hollow of my neck lightly kissing it as we swayed to the music.
I want to give back what you've given to me
And I want to witness all of your dreams
Now that you've shown me who I really am
I wanna be more than just your man
"You know, I've loved you since the moment I layed eyes on you. You were so beautiful and vibrant, I couldn't believe that you actually wanted to be with me once I told you how I felt. I was the happiest man alive when you told me that you wanted to be more than friends." Dillon said with his head still resting on my neck, I could feel his warm breath as it hit my neck and made my knees go weak.
I wanna be the wind that fills your sail
Be the the hand that lifts your veil
Be the moon that moves your tide
The sun coming up in your eyes
Be the wheel that never rusts
Be the spark that lights you up
All that you've been dreaming of and more, so much more
I wanna be your everything
"As we spent more time together, that love that I felt the first day we met only grew greater, and no matter what it took I was going to be with you. I didn't care what our families or friends said. They didn't understand. We were young but that didn't mean we couldn't love each other." I was about to say something but then decided not too. I wanted to let Dillon talk and tell me everything that was on his mind. So I just ran my fingers along the back of his neck letting him know he could continue when he was ready.
When you wake up I'll be the first thing you see
And when it gets dark you can reach out to me
I'll cherish your words, I'll finish your thoughts
I'll be your compass baby when you get lost
"Everything has always been for you Georgie. I know now that I was brought to Port Charles, not because my mom wanted to get me off her back, but so I could meet the woman of my dreams. The woman that would one day have my child." He said as he lifted his head and looked into my eyes. "And the woman that would hopefully one day be my wife."
Be the wind that fills your sail
Be the the hand that lifts your veil
Be the moon that moves your tide
The sun coming up in your eyes
Be the wheel that never rusts
Be the spark that lights you up
All that you've been dreaming of and more, so much more
I wanna be your everything
"Dillon what are you saying?" I asked as I searched his eyes. They were hopeful and nervous.
"Georgie will you marry me?" He asked as he put his hands on either side of my face as we continued to rock gently to the music.
I'll be the wheel that never rusts
Be the spark that lights you up
All that you've been dreaming of and more, so much more
I wanna be your everything
"Oh Dillon..." I said as I reached up and kissed him. Tears falling from my eyes and meeting where our cheeks touched.
"Is that a yes?" He asked against my lips, not breaking contact.
"Yes!" I said as I nodded. Just as I replied the baby kicked and Dillon laughed and jumped back a little before continuing our kiss.
"I think she agrees." I said as Dillon pulled away before lightly kissing my lips one last time. I felt like I was floating, everything was pefect, nothing could go wrong.
