| RAF Canbera from Boscombe Down, AA&AE, Apron 2. This is opposite the Civil Air Terminal and Apron One-the two aprons had been known as the South Ramp and North Ramp. This photograph was taken in the late 'eighties when this was still a US Naval Air Station. This section of the aerodrome, the original RAF section, was then sub-leased back to the civil government. RAF aircraft had continued to use the now-civil end, though the US Navy and Air Force used the other three aprons under their control. | ||||||
