That's what I'd like to ask!!! - Some people just make you think 'why the f**k do they exist ??' - Some of them are talentless, some of them have talent, and just waste it - what on earth is going on ?

A case of talent wasted - Chris Evans is still talented in a lot of ways - but since he hit the big time, he's just let the whole thing go to his head - I occasionally watched TFI Friday - Mainly when there's someone good on - mind you, saying all this some of the filler material he does (Remember the foam/washing up liquid trick ?) - is quite good...Hmmmmmm.....I won't discuss the show-biz-ness of his marriage to Billie
I can actually remember the show he did on Sunday Afternoons on Radio 1, many years ago, it was actually quite good - just him on his tod, and some damn good ideas
Admittedly he annoys me to the 'Shouting-at-the-Crystal-Maze' stage - but the Jury is still out on this specimen!
ZOE BALL(AND NOW SARA COX!!)
A definite case of WHY WHY WHY!!!!! - Her crew run the Breakfast Show (it is alleged), she has little visible talent - what more can i say - Oh yes, i listen to her in order to avoid Radio2 when my mum is in the car. Are they both the same person, although out of the two, Zoe Ball was the less annoying!

Serious Problems here - Sex sells, but even i wouldn't be that bored to watch American Football to see hyperactive teenage girls jumping around, in an almost scantily clad fashion - They are plainly annoying, useless - and less effective than a couple of Mexican Waves in getting the crowd going...

Too damn right - I'm sick of stupidity in the ranks of customers who pile in at PC World (if you are one of them - bite me!) - all I can say is this - READ THE GODDAM MANUAL - You had the intelligence to sign on the line - read the damn manual!

Well, every time they all toddle off waiting for that Comet to take them to a better place - you have to wonder who is more stupid - them or us - If this is the case, I shall form my own cult - and have a couple of thousand people head to their doom!

ANNOYINGLY CHEERFUL DJ's
A definite case of WHY ????? - These people are just plain annoying, why on earth do they exist - they sound like they're pumped full of caffeine and other drugs - Take for example, local 'Tinpot' ([c] Mark & Lard) radio stations - every DJ on them is thinking 'well, if i sound happy i can get off this goddam forsaken station that no-one is listening to...Or go and work at Virgin Radio :)))
POKEMON
Oh.......come on now - these will be forgotten about by the end of this year (anyway - according to the papers the 70's are back, clackers and Spacehoppers - heehee!! - there will be a revival at Christmas - just see!) - whats appealing about a thing that waddles round saying 'pikachu' in an annoying way - wow, i must stop playing with my talking Buzz Lightyear, and buy one of these 200 or so things....
Kids who know all the names.......sad.......
Parents who have bought Poke-crap....You all need shooting.......buy your kids a PC!!!...start them in programming, but the little s**ts will go and hack the pentagon anyway!!! (Wargames...rules!!)
This really is the pits.......
Thing is, these toy cult thingies are silly - I used to work at a McDonalds Drive Thru - cunningly located over the road from a Toys R Us (which are fun places to be if you're bored) - i have seen the masses (and i mean masses) queing for Tamagotchi, Power Rangers, Buzz Lightyear's, Teletubbies (they were even changing hands between staff!) N64's and not forgetting Furbies.......I have seen people outside TRU at 7am on a Saturday morning....the sadder thing - some of them had slept outside and had turned up before Maccys closed at midnight!
And what happens, after 6 months the toys are forgotten about - I also recall similar queues outside computer stores for Windows 98 and Quake 3!
There's a few lines from an Alanis Morisette tune (Baba off SFIJ) that kinda seems appropriate - "I've seen them coming to line up from Switzerland and America" (bit much really but can't make Chester and Ellesmere Port scan) and "how much will this cost guru, how much longer 'til you completely absolve me" - Thats how it seems to me, these people line up almost religiously outside toystores for this stuff.
SOFTWARE (I.E PCI) MODEMS
WHY ??????
Just to save a few quid! - take out one of the chips and make the PC run some software to do that function of the missing chip!
PCI/Winmodems are EEEEVVVIILLLL!!!! - Why ??
1) - They don't run under DOS ('cos they're WINModems - y'see)
2) - Linux hates 'em (see above)
3) - They slow the PC down
4) - If windows screws up, your modem is usually the first thing to screw up....so you can't get on the 'net to download new drivers - Ironic huh ? (in an Alanis Morissette stylee.....) - This isn't always the case - but you see the point...
Recounting experiences, experienced by watching my mates Motorola SMS56 Modem - they slow up when they feel like it... Disconnect when they feel like it - and like i said, if one DLL is slightly corrupt - modem plays up....
This isn't a slur against Motorola, they are one of the biggest communication equipment manufacturing companies out there - and they make some damn fine mobiles and pagers :))) [cheque is in the post - huh guys ???]
What i'm saying is this - if you need a modem to run in DOS, Windows 3.1 and Li/Unix - get an external modem, or one like mine that can either be PnP or not!

Jeez.......same situ as the Spice Girls.....5 people, as always, only one has any talent, but like the whole Take That/Robbie/Gary thing (Yeah, whos tosh is filling the Radio 2 Playlist - not Robbies!!!) - its always the one you least expect.....
I await the day when, on stage their Vocal Harmoniser unit fails, or the tape jams, the Mini-Disc stops dead, You will be found out!!! and then the public will desert you as fast as they flocked to you!!! - you won't even be recognised in McDonalds !!! - No i'm not insanely jealous - just peeved 'cos theres people out there who can't score a record deal at all - who have more talent than all of them
But what more amusing, is the people who failed were recently signed by Virgin Records - i don't know and don't care who HS are with, this is probably the funniest part of the whole thing!

Another concept carried to far.....I firmly believe it is rigged, where do they find these people????? - i have watched BB for a total of ONE HOUR over both the current series - Lets look at it like this - if you allowed Channel 4 to rig your house full of cameras, you'd end up constipated, or going to the bog in your back garden,watched by millions of people....would you want that?????
What is so appealing.....I have watched this.....and have never been so bored......People...wake up!!!
CHRISTMAS HITS ALBUMS
There is only a need for one - You only need "Merry Christmas" by Wizzard, and all the other usual Christmas hits....there has actually been very little in the way of decent Number 1's at Christmas over the last few years - Yeah, who wants to remember "Mr Blobby" from way back a few years...or East 17 from...errrm.....early 90s - they're not classic Christmas hits..no-way!
But whats more annoying is that theres 20 or so of them each christmas - and they all have pretty much the same stuff on'em!
