| Coach Eddie brings the best out in all kids. He makes them reach inside and find the strength to do things that they don't believe they can do. He is there for all of his kids just like he was for Marrina. She and Coach Eddie had a special bond and lots of private jokes. She began with him when she was in the fifth grade and going to be trying out for cheerleader in the sixth grade. He encouraged her every day to strive to do it better than the day before no matter whether it was jumps, tumbling, motions or dance. He told her she was good and the HNIC. She and I often laughed about that one coach and the one about the reversed Oreo. She always admired you Coach Eddie and is smiling down upon you today because you were always there when she needed a shoulder whether it was on a good day or bad. You always made her and every other kid feel they were the most important in the world. Keep doing what you are doing because whether you realize it or not you have a huge impact on a lot of kids. On behalf of her and all the kids over the years, I would like to say thanks coach. |

| Coach Eddie worked with Marrina from the fifth grade until after she had graduated. He never gave up on her getting and keeping her back handspring. More than that he encouraged her every year to work harder to be a better cheerleader. He was there every year for competition and let her know the team had his support. No matter whether they competed in coed or all female he told them they were "the bomb". At Marrina's first tryout for seventh grade cheerleader, you would have thought she was his daughter. When she did well in her tryout, he jumped up and down like a kid. He told us he knew she had made it because she was awesome and rocked the house. He was there every year for tryouts. The year she needed his encouragement the most was her ninth grade tryout. There were only two spots open and she wanted to fill one of those spots really bad. He worked with her for months four days a week pushing her to get her back handspring and perfect her motions, jumps, and dance. She made it. There were some people who were skeptical thinking she didn't deserve it but Coach Eddie told her she had worked hard and did deserve it. This made her feel better since she knew that Coach Eddie knew cheerleading like no one else. She went on to cheer for 7 years. One as mascot and 6 as a junior high or varsity cheerleader. She was UCA All-Star 2 years and well deserving of every accomplishment she received. | ||||||||||||||
