GOSPEL PARTNERS IN JESUS |
Sometime is the early 1980's a group of us begin praying one evening a week at a local church. Our little prayer group grew. People from different local churches often joined us in prayer. As the results we saw many come to Christ, and there were many miracles and great healings. This went on for many years. There were times when there were angels present with us in the prayer meeting. One great lady that was often present with us at the prayer meetings was my mother Mary Edith McKinney. Everyone who knew mom said she was the most Godly person they had ever met. She truly lived a holy life. My mother had a profound effect on my life. I'd hate to think where I might be without mom's influence on my life. When Mom was well up in years, my father told me that mom was praying more than ever. Early one Saturday while Mom went for a walk she met a neighbor. She asked him, "why are you so sad today?" He replied, "my grandson has leukemia. We took him to the hospital this morning and they refused him treatment, saying that the treatment was useless. Just take him home and get his funeral ready; he will be dead by tuesday." Mom replied "I will pray for him." The young boy did not die but rather, God healed him. As the results of this great miracle Mom won more to Christ late in life than she did in her previous years. Mom could not get out much but many came to her. Now I find that the years have passed in my life and not a few. God has blessed me in so many ways. I have a lot of experience to offer; I am closer to God than I have ever been. God has put in my heart to do it again. Jesus is coming soon, let all true believers come together in God's great love, pray for the lost, the church, each other and please remember Pam and I in our work with the Gospel Partners in Jesus. May God greatly bless you. I wish to see you all in Heaven. It will be so wonderful around the throne of God, with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. That will be a prefect day! A perfect day has something that no other day has. It has no ending, if it had an ending it could not be perfect. |
