Processing
Adding value by generating and moving information
v
In the super-symbolic economy where knowledge is the central resource as individuals move and generate information, symbolic processing considerations can include information processing, task routines or programmability, abstraction levels, central data bank and management information system access, and individual autonomy and responsibilities. As for knowledge, it includes data, information, images, symbols, culture, ideology, and values.
You are welcome to explore these considerations and definition in Alvin and Heidi Toffler’s book entitled Creating a New Civilization—The Politics of the Third Wave[1] on pages 42 and 54 through 56.
