My Desire: What I wanted to accomplish |
Design, specify, and draw irrigation delivery
pipelines that are served by a main supply pipeline for a Special
Agricultural Conservation Program (ACP) Irrigation Water Conveyance Pipeline
Project. This USDA Natural
Resources Conservation Service design project was a service to lateral
landowners and the Greeley Field Office. |

|
Description of the result |
Designed and specified approximately $65,760 worth
of delivery pipelines, water control structures, and appurtenances. Had
primary responsibility in surveying the site and developing design
drawings. The area engineer designed the main supply pipeline (main
27-inch pipeline to convey a maximum 24.0 cubic feet per second (cfs)
flow) that was to service the delivery pipelines. Designs were
completed and bids were received in the spring of 1992. The total
engineers cost estimate was $366,600. |

The water control structures reinforced concrete volumes
were based on a third of the total reinforced concrete volume. This is a
judgment since plans could not be consulted for the development of this
document. |
