Green activities in Fremont,
Newark, and Union City, California
Jan. 2005 -- Feb. 2006
During this period, several Greens from the Tri-Cities area met
together at semi-regular monthly meetings, and showed a couple
documentary films. However, these efforts for form an ongoing
local Green organization faded out by Feb. 2006.
However, some minimal Green activity continued after that. The
most successful was a lot of impeachment petitioning, that contributed
over 700 signatures to a regional petition effort that submitted
several thousand to Nancy Pelosi's office in San Francisco in Oct.
2006. Other activities were a very successful booth at Fremont's
art & wine festival in the summer of 2006, some precinct walking
for Fremont Measure K in the Nov. 2006 election, and Green voter guide
distribution before elections in 2006 and 2007.
