Hi folks!

Well I decided to release this as I was not getting
much more done with it. Hopefully I'll come back to it..
Uh, I kinda got distracted.

So here it is, finally!
A VERY rough version of Moria.
But it's playable, at least.

To play this game ...
slap the .fxe into your :GPMM directory

The original docs are included, but these include keyboard commands
so don't mention any of the menu's and other stuff I've hacked in to this version.
You will have to improvise ;)

But they will give you tips about playing, character classes, etc.

Here's how to get started with this version ...

Main menu...
Exit(reset) - resets your GP32
New game - Starts a new game
Load game - on the ToDo list !
View Scores - on the ToDo list !

Quick start...
Select New Game,
select a race, (find the docs!)
select a sex, (doesn't have much effect on the game)

The game then spins up some stats for ...
STR-strength - how well you fight, how much you can carry
INT-intelligence - how well you cast spells
WIS-wisdom - how well you chant prayers
DEX-dexterity - how well you unpick locks
CON-constitution - how quickly you recover
CHR-charisma - how charming are you?

press [A] to reroll to look for better stats,
press [B] to accept the stats

Then you can pick your character class

Warrior - a fighter, no magic
Mage - gets spells to cast
Priest - gets prayers to chant
Rogue - good for stealth, some spells
Ranger - a fighter, some spells
Paladin - a fighter, some prayers

A note:
Humans can be any class and are good for beginners as they rise
 through the levels quickly
Half-Troll warriors are also good because they are good fighters
and have good CON, so are hard to kill.

Give yourself a name and ...
Then you're in town - wander round, meet people, have a look in shops
find the down-staircase and enter the dungeons proper ([R] to find the down command!)

In game buttons...

Button : Action

A : Moves the player in play mode or selects the menu/feature
B : Repeats the last command - useful for open, search, tunnel, etc
L : Brings up the Inventory menus - use, drop, etc
R : Brings up the Action menu - open, close, run, etc
Select : Brings up the Options menu - map, gain spell, rest, etc

======================================
Lots of things that are still to do...
======================================

Load/Save of game files and highscores

Chasing down graphic bugs...
.screen updates
.making text appear at the right place on screen
.making the menus look right

Make the interface better...
.automate most of the [R] commands depending on what you're moving into
.improve the inventory screens

Create some help

Lots of play testing...
If you come across a bug, please mail me.
I may not have seen it and you'll help me document them and fix them ;)

Make the menu's look nice :)

Be aware this is a VERY rough beta release and may cause serious damage to your
GP32, eyes and brain. Though not necessarily in that order.

There are no sounds in this one, but the backgrounds were ripped from the web
The dungeon graphics are copied from the Amiga version, from the Aminet archive...
