| The RX-78NT1 is the fourth Gundam unit created by the Federation Forces during the One Year War. Redesigned for use by ace pilot Amuro Ray, whose success in battle was seen as evidence of his Newtype powers, this Gundam was given the designation "NT1." Unlike Zeon's Newtype weapons, the Gundam NT1 doesn't have a psycommu interface; instead, its designers concentrated on making it highly responsive and maneuverable. Its special feature include magnet-coated joints for increased responsiveness, a new type of panoramic cockpit display, and pop-up gatling guns in its forearms. The Gundam NT1 can also be fitted with optional Chobham armor for extra protection, increasing its overall weight to a massive 95 tons. |

Thanks to the stunning effectiveness of the RX-78 Gundam, the Earth Federation chose to devote its manufacturing power to the Gundam's mass-produced version, the RGM-79 GM. However, the success of the RX-77 GUncannon also indicated the value of cannon-equipped support mobile suits. At first this role was filled by modified versions of the GM, but by the end of the war the Federation has begun trail production of a true mass-produced version of the Guncannon. The sad fate of the two units stationed aboard the carrier Gray Phantom ultimately leads to the abandonment of this program. |

| Description |
| This is the last, and most advanced, of the Federation's line of GM Sniper mobile suits. Based on the RGM-79G GM Command, the GM sniper II is equipped with powerful thrusters for increased mobility, and its armor is reinforced with pieces of Luna Titanium alloy. Its sliding visor houses a precision laser sensor and a powerful zoom camera for long-range targeting. While the GM Sniper II boasts the highes performance of the entire GM series, it fares poorly against Zeon's assault mobile suit Kampfer, which quickly wipes out the Gray Phantom's entire GM Sniper II team. |

Description |
| Near the end of the One Year War, the Earth Federation at alst fields its own mass-produced mobile suit, the RGM-79 GM. This basic model is adapted into numerous variations, among them the RGM-79D, which has been modified for use in cold climates. Aside from its weatherproofing this type is largely unchanged fromt he standard GM, and when the Cyclops Team attack a Federation base in the arctic circle, it proves to be no match for Zeon's state-of-the-art amphibious mobile suits. |

| While the standard GM Command is intended for combat inside space colonies, the GS version is designed for combat outside them. Its thruster output has been boosted by 10%, and its increased propellant capacity gives it greatly extened operating time. Both versions of the GM Command were created to gather data for future mass-produced, and they have little impact on the course of the war, they will become the basis for the Federation's post-war mobile suit development efforts. |

| Description |
| In the last days of the One Year War, the Earth Federation launches an offensive against Zeon's space territory, whose ultimate goal is the invasion of the Zeon homeland itself. Anticipating a fierce struggle in the last stages of this campaign, the Federation produces an improved version of the standard RGM-79 GM in order to gather data for a next-generation mass production type. The result is the GM Command, equipped with a more powerful generator and redesigned armor. Most of these machines are stationed away from the main battlefield, at out-of-the-way locations like the neutral space colonies of Side 6. |

| Description |

| The Z'gok E is an improved version of Zeon's most successful amphibious mobile suit. Considered an experimental model, it's been produced in limited numbers and assigned to skilled pilots like Cyclops Team leader Lieutenant Steiner. The Z'gok E is equipped with retracteable limbs, which allow it to change into a streamlined form for underwater travel, and it s forearms now house improved beam cannons similar to those of the Hy-Gogg. While the head of the original Z'gok housed a set of missile launchers, these are rendered redundant by the increased firepower of the new beam cannons, and have thus been replaced by anti-ship torpedoes. |

| Description |
| The Hy-Gogg is a new version of the amphibious mobile suit Gogg. Rather than merely improving the original design, Zeon's mobile suit developers redesigned it from scratch, retaining only the basic concepts. The result is a compact, powerful machine, smaller and more agile than its ancestor. The beam cannons in its multi-segmented arms use the same energy capacitor technology as the Gundam's beam rifle, giving the Hy-Gogg greater firepowr and a much wider firing arc. During their assault on a Federation base in the arctice circle, the Cyclops Team outfit their Hy-Goggs with one-shot missile launchers that fit over the mobile suits' forearms. |
