Welcome to Gozde Art Studio on the net! Well, a lot of customers have been asking me "Where is your website?" through the years, so finally, I have decided to publish my own work on this page for everyone to see. My first attempt in a virtual medium. It is a work in progress.... so check back often to see my new pieces!

I am actually a very lonely artist in my area of work. Very few people have chosen this medium. I have been strongly influenced by the work of artisans in Europe, as well as Native Americans.

To explain what I do?? Well, I mold leather, using only my hands and a knife. The leather lets me know what shape it will take. The lines, the texture, the feel all contribute to the final piece. Patience , love and dedication finishes it off.

I generally use "natural tooling" leather, which is very smooth and pliable. It holds the shape I create. My work in leather, which spans a little over 10 years, has progressed to the point you see now. I have been concentrating on masks, sculpture pieces, and custom jewelry.
