Contribution is required in Electronics Hardware / Pattern Recognition / Biometrics related stuff.... so anybody with relevant education/experience can apply. The requirement is immediate.

 

>> Time Lines: The product development will be at NirmaLabs, Ahmedabad - which means you need to shift to Ahmedabad till March-April 2007. We plan to complete prototype development & testing before April 2007. We will launch the company during April 2007 from Mumbai.

 

Growth opportunities in our startup: In case you join us at this stage of our startup, you would be shifting your gear to a role with more responsibilities as we are going to launch this as a company, as a venture of NirmaLabs. Also, you would be playing a lead role while we launch & grow the company, get more employees, etc....

v About The Project

The project is getting incubated at NirmaLabs, Ahmedabad. We are working on some new innovative biometric technology, which is not generally known. We would be developing hardware, software, algorithm to develop new products based on this technology. To start with, we would be tapping huge Time & Attendance market, Access Control Market, Security market. More details while in talks.

v Funding Support:

We already have seed fund of Rs. 2 million for prototype development from NirmaLabs, sufficient for current requirements. We are in talks with few Angel Investors who are interested in funding us, when we launch the company.

 

 

v Openings / Opportunities in our Venture*
Full Time: Urgent!
1.	A person with 2 + yrs experience in embedded system development with following skills: (Partnership offer) 1) Experience on any RTOS (eCOS, uCOS, RTLinux etc) 2) C/C++, Assembly programming on 16/32 ARM based Microcontrollers. 3) Experience in developing device drivers. 4) Good Debug capabilities. 5) Board Debug capabilities 6) Familiarity with DSP programming.
2.	A person with 1+ yrs experience in pattern recognition, with work experience / interest in following fields: (Partnership offer) 1) Image Processing 2) Computer Vision 3) Pattern Recognition 4) Biometrics (Any technology) 5) Neural Network / Artificial Intelligence
3. u What is Biometrics?

Biometrics is an automated method of recognizing a person based on a physiological or behavioral characteristic: Physiological biometrics is based on measurements and data retrieved from direct measurement of a part of the human body. Fingerprint, iris-scan, retina-scan, hand geometry, and facial recognition are leading physiological forms of biometrics.

Behavioral biometric is based on measurements and data derived from an action, and indirectly measure characteristics of the human body. Voice recognition, keystroke-scan, and signature-scan are leading behavioral forms of biometric technologies.

Uses for Biometric Security

 

Biometrics is used in two major ways: Identification and Verification.

 
Identification is determining who a person is. It involves taking the measured characteristic and trying to find a match in a database containing records of people and that characteristic. This method can require a large amount of processing power, and some time, if the database is very large. It is often used in determining the identity of a crime suspect.

 
Verification is the process of authenticating if a person is who he/she says he/she is. It involves taking the measured characteristic and comparing it to the previously recorded data for that person. This method requires less processing power and time, and is often used for accessing places or information.

v Our Terms & Conditions: (Please read!)

 

For people who are interested to join us 'full time' (after leaving your MNCs job, studies, etc..) for any position needs to understand following things:

1. We are right now in incubation phase (possibly till March 2007) at NirmaLabs, which means that we have not rolled out as a company, and currently trying to develop that product from scratch. We will role out as soon as product development is over.

2. Our Business Plan got approved by a high profile team of NirmaLabs, consisting of Entrepreneurs & Venture Capitalists, so lot of evaluation has been done on its growth prospects, and commercial feasibility. After that, we got the seed funding of Rs.2 million for the project. So we are pretty sure about success of our venture.

3. People who join us right now, in incubation phase, depending on their contribution, will get lot of growth opportunities/ lead positions in future, as & when we grow our company....

4. In case you feel that you fit the bill for position like CTO / or my partner then lot of discussion needs to take place... 

5. Salary, Incentives, ESOPS: Don't expect 'quick' money with us. This part will be in 3 steps:

1. Stipend of Rs.8000 till we are at NirmaLabs (under Incubation) (may increase in exceptional cases, if you have some real genuine reason for increase and are technology stud)

2. After Incubation (possibly April 2007, when we roll out our company, then we would be increasing salary by some amount + you will get ESOPs / stake in the company (Total value of it will be higher than market salaries, and also above what you can expect in coming years)

3. Once company start making Sales, and cash flow starts, you can expect good increase........ also you will be on leading position as we recruit more people.

6. Joining: The requirement is immediate. The product development will be at NirmaLabs, Ahmedabad - which means you need to shift to Ahmedabad till April 2007. We plan to complete prototype development & testing before April 2007. We will launch the company during April 2007 at Mumbai.

So in short, if you are looking for some 'quick' money, or big salaries then this is not right opportunity for you. But if you can think of long term prospective, and can understand importance of ESOPs / stake in company, and interested in playing major role in success of 'a company', then you will find us exciting. We can talk then.... we are looking for committed & ambitious people..... and we are here to do something BIG.
