Pull on the handles
look inside my chest
all those strings hanging
each different from the rest

Tin cups at each end
burning on their own
will they reach each other
will their light be shown.

Firemen carrying matches
alone, weak and small
The inferno that was started
Just wait for the call

Picking up the phone
dialing X11
All the while thinking
what have they done?

The operator is holding
