Tinker�s Guild

In the World of Honor, there is no known technological level higher than medieval.  However, there are some that are interested in repairing old gadgets, and building new ones.  Most of these folks belong to the Tinker�s Guild.  They are always interested in artifacts, and may offer to purchase any found.

Scholar�s Guild
The purpose of the Scholar�s Guild is to advance knowledge.  Each guild house houses a library.  Disputes over valuable texts have been know to erupt between the Scholar�s and the Tinker�s guilds.

Mercenaries� Guild

This organization is found in most parts of Honor.  It is basically a benevolent and protective association.  Hired swords can be found there.  Most guilds have lodging for their members, so Inns are not necessary.  Mercenary Guilds are usually fortified, and more than one battle has changed course when stragglers rallied at the Mercenaries� Guild led by touch old soldiers with one more battle in them, to trounce their attackers.

Religions, Churches, Temples, and Cults

There are thousands of religions in the World of Honor.  The Sitas are very active in journeying, and converting citizens to worship Sita at the Sitadel. 
Czajara is an orchish religion.  The prophet Czaj claimed that one�s position in the afterlife was determined by the amount of personal dignity acquired during life.  This dignity can be acquired by respect or fear.
Nature worship abounds in many areas, with the sun, moon, and crop growing cycles being honored.

Economic System

Money

The economic system in the World of Honor is based on the silver piece.  It is a metal coin with the image of the Monarch on both sides.  One side shows his face, the other, the back of his head.  All prices in the land are based on the silver piece.  There are copper coins and gold coins, but the gold coins are rare and hardly used in regular commerce.  Ten coppers equal a silver piece.  Ten silver pieces equal a gold piece. 

Taxes

Taxes affect everyone.  Some may pay their taxes to the Monarch based on their job.  Others may pay their taxes through their guild hall.  Very few citizens escape paying taxes.
