Our family spends lots of time volunteering for the local emergency servicesand have served them in many positions over the years. Bill & our son are members of the Goshen Fire Dept.(Cataracts & Dikemans) Our daughter was the 1st female member of the Dikeman Engine Company before she left for Arizona. Now she only keeps up to date on her EMT card.
The entire family has also been a part of Goshen Volunteer Ambulance Corps. Current totals are: Bill 9 years (19 in EMS), Lisa 23 years & our son 3 years. Our daughter was in for 3 years before she left.
BIll is a courier for BOCES and Lisa is an emergency services dispatcher for New Windsor Police. Our son works for local company and our daughter works for DHL
Her name now is sent to New York State EMS for consideration for the state BLS Provider of the Year.
UPDATE: 8/22
Lisa recieved her letter from the NYS Council letting her know that another person was named to receive the state's award. Congradulations to all the NYS Award winners!!
