6201. Linocut.  Edition of 20

This early print was produced using a sequence of diamond-shaped "stamps" made from linoleum mounted on plywood.  The images appear to flow from one diamond shape to the next through a simple visual continuity device incorporated in the design of the stamp.  The stamps were printed in red and black ink- sometimes red on top of black, sometimes black on top of red.

This work is in the collection of the Coos Art Museum, among other collections.
