Zebras are a hardy easy to keep finch that are easier to breed then most of the more exotic finch though there are exceptions as with the larger show type that can tend to be a little more difficult to raise.
Orange Breast Black Breast DF Florida Fancy male and female
Zebras come in many color mutations and color combinations making them a fun species to keep and breed for most. They are one of the most popular finch in aviculture because of their many colors cheerful personality and hardy constitution.
Grey 'English type' male and female Zebra finch
They can be aggressive towards other species as well as their own when placed in a community flight or cage. It all depends on the individual bird and it's personality. They are usually ok when placed in pairs of three or more and given plenty of space and nests to prevent fighting over nesting sites and to ensure a place to sleep at night for they are cavy nesters that do prefer to sleep in nest at night even when not raising young.
CFW 'German Type' juveniles from Imported Euro Zebras
I raise a few of the color mutations and combinations but mostly focus on the Continental CFWs, Black Cheeks, Fawn, Dominate Silver, Florida Fancy, Black Breast and  combos of these. I also raise some of the English and German show types.
