Addicted to Ebay

Yup I think I am addicted to Ebay. I have a small store I sell various items out of. Mostly things I make like pet accessories and jewelry items. Then there are the old coins my dad has me sell for him and dresses and other odds and ends. I dont sell a great deal just yet but have fun with it just the same.

BUT I shop lots. Dont buy over much all the time but the browsing to see just what others will list is habit forming. There are listings for haunted items, people selling body parts for advertising, even saw one a while back where a man was selling an Empty bottle of Tylenol cause his pregnant wife was driving him crazy and was trying to make some $$ toward the coming baby. Someone had even bid on it. There have been listings offering up spouses as cyber companions which I dont quite get to people that sell fertile Peacock eggs...( yes have to admit thought of getting O'Henry ,our wild peacock, a buddy at one point). I am not even sure where people find some of the things they have listed on there.

Of course there Are many normal seeming things listed and most of the items are. I dont sleep well at night and find myself just sitting and browsing different categories. With all the odd things I have seen, I know I still have not seen but a small portion of all that is on Ebay. Am I the only one addicted to just looking at Stuff....most of which I would never have any desire to purchase just to see what all people will sell and buy???

Ebay can be addicting! I always wondered how the stores worked...do you just pay one fee a month? Welcome to 360!

Thanks for the welcome. Still feel a bit like a fish out of water here. I am learning the ropes though.

On the Ebay stores, yes there is a monthly fee for a store. I have the smallest one and then there are 2 other upgrades. In addition to the monthly store fee, there are listing fees and then you pay a fee every time you make a sale too. Like I said I dont make a great deal as of yet. Some months I do ok though. If thinking of doing a store, just post some auctions a few times to see how they go or start with the smallest scale store like I did. Those options give you a chance to get your feet wet and see what it is like.
One hint if listing and this is Why you will see many list items with a larger shipping fee than needed.... The listing fee and fee when sold does Not include the shipping fee amount. Having a very low shipping and the sale price higher will make a higher level of fees for listing and for the end sale too. You dont have to make the shipping outrageous but I know with mine I make sure that it is shipping as well as my listing and what my approx final sale fee would be too. This helps take some of the 'ouch' out of all the fees they have on Ebay.
