Let's Play !!
Ok this one is harder than last weeks for me. Many of my life changing events are not of the most happy sort. Since I promised to keep my blog light as a means of a positive happy place for me to escape too. Will list some that well are just too life changing to not but wont be as elaborate as last weeks.
1: Summer of 1988. Many changes all happened around the same time. In a 2 month time frame I graduated high school, turned 18, started college and an unhappy family situation boiled over. All combined changed things for me a great amount. Some of it good some bad but all got me to where I am now.
2: May 22 2003 I became a mother of a bouncing baby....10 year old boy. Had been told for years chances of having a child were slim to none so I adopted. He has been my heart and at times my heartache. Being a mom has been and is a challenge but I would do it again over and over if given the chance. Not the house full of kids I always wanted but I was blessed to have at least one child, that needed me to love.
3: Getting my drivers lic. I was nearly 21. Had been in a pretty bad car accident at 15. One of those where the car flips up and into the trees types. The next day we were shown the spot and the car and looked like King Kong had picked up the little car, squished it then threw it into the trees. Needless to say I was afraid of driving. My parents hired a driving instructor but he would Pray every time we got to a intersection no matter how small. Made me more nervous so that did not last long. Finally my mom drove me to work one day and when it was time to go home she was in the passenger seat and refused to drive us home. Made me do it. Was one of the biggest busiest stretch of road in the area we lived but I did it. Made me drive when we went out from then on till I was ok with it. Got my lic a few months later.

4: Moving out of my parents home. Happened just months after #3 occured. Moved out with a dear friend. We moved to live on a back acre of a 10 acre lot her parents owned. Moved into a tiny single wide trailer with barely any furniture. Moved out to the woods. All a shock for my city girl self. Was good to be on my own but do remember crying the first time I realized could not afford to get my nails done. Managed it an entire year then had to move back to a more city-ish area.

5: Moving to Marion county. My only living in the Woods experience was #4 so moving out where I presently am was not something I looked forward to but there were many reasons for the move. This was life changing on many levels. To move I quit a good paying job, left the area I loved living in, left close friends I spent quite a bit of time with..I packed all up and moved out here. Very pretty but isolated and different. Still not a country girl closest I have gotten is my pig and the chickens but I was always an animal person. The heels and some suits are packed away in the closet and I have learned to like flip flops. I have also made a couple of friends out here that would be irreplacable to me so the move was more than worth it just for having met them.
