Why is it dubbed a summer Vacation when we rarely get to relax? For most people day to day activities continue but only adding the fact that now their kids are home and in need of supervision and/or entertainment. Most that work outside the house are not able to take off the many weeks our kids are out of school in order to Vaction with the children.

I am lucky in that right now I work out of my home ( am poor because of it but the upside is am home) so I have more leeway as to when I get to spend time with my son and/or other neighborhood kids. This summer has been extra busy for some reason. Just not sure Why??? I dont think we have yet to have an entire week or even just couple of days where we did not have something to do. Granted my baby is no longer a baby in that he will be 15 in Sept and starting High School to boot, but we seem to be off running around more this summer than ever before.

He finished up the little league season just in time for summer band rehearsals to begin. We also have had outings with the neighborhood kids and some of the parents to see free movies and make trips to Salt Springs and so on. I dont think my phone has rung this much in the 3 years we have lived here...(and it actually Be for ME). My home has also become the stopping point for the kids around the neighborhood.

Not complaining at all because of the extra activity. It is nice to have friends down the road and I dont mind at all being a sorta "kool aid mom". My son loves having lots to do and lots of kids to play with. Was just wondering if it is just me who is tired... so very tired already with there being many more weeks of summer Vacation left...???
