For those of you who don't know who my spectacular buddy, Randy, is...he's a 20-something Christian singer who is in the band Through the Veil. He's from right here in the tri-state area! You may have seen him working in the mall at American Eagle or at many of the places that he's played solo or with the band. Through the Veil is made up of Randy on guitar and vocals, Dave Myers on guitar and vocals, and Chris Turley on drums - THEY ARE INCREDIBLE!
It's hard to find a young guy with more love and dedication for Christ than Randy...he continually blows me away. At some point in my life I hope to be at the level in my walk that he has reached - it's obvious to everyone that Randy's doing God's work. The Lord has blessed him with a breath-taking voice and the ability to really give people the encouragement they need. There's been many a time that Randy and TtV have brought me right to the throne of God in a way that no other praise and worship band have been able to. Not to mention the fact that his big teddy bear heart is so filled with love for his brothers and sisters in Christ! There have been sooooooo many times that I just needed someone and Randy was right there for me. (But that's gone both ways. lol)
So now that I've bragged on him as much as I can, I have a little message for him when he reads this page:
Hello, dearie...I don't tell you nearly enough that God has used you so much in my life. When we met over 2 years ago I never would have guessed that we would have built such an awesome friendship. You've been such a display of God's love in my life - I know there's nothing I can't talk to you about, no matter how crazy or serious it may be. I've missed you so much since you've been touring all over the place!! And I know I dog you a lot of the time about the things we have differing opinions on *ESPECIALLY my love life* but I know you'd never say anything if you didn't care about my welfare. We've had some crazy moments and some really emotional ones too...some insane conversations *about sparkly pants* and some heart-to-hearts that totally gave me a new perspective. No matter what happens, I'll always think the world of you and what you do for the kingdom of God. I'm so proud of you!!!! Make sure you let me know when you'll be at KCC and I'll pop in to see ya! lol And no matter what you say, I'm not your only fan. ;) I love ya boy...
