The 43rd Grammy Awards:
Yeah I watched them, and yeah they sucked. But what can you do, this whole year and every year since about '95 has sucked ass for music. Its all pop bullshit this year, the homoerotic group N'sync, that no talent ass clown Macy Gray, you just can't win. I tried to go it this thing with an open mind, setting aside all the presumptious bullshit in my head and trying to view this thing with a fresh mind, but I was sadly disappointed none the less. Why Paul Simon, why? why ruin a good thing, he was in Simon and Garfunkle, he did his thing, made his influences, accomplished something in his life, only to go out there an make a royal ass of himself singing some song that sounded like it was writ (thats right, I say writ instead of wrote) by sherry louis and bram. And when the fuck did Christina Aguleria become latino? 6 or 8 months ago she was as white as my ass, now all of the sudden the bitch gets a tan, braids her hair, licks her lips and belts out some spanish, what a fuckin culture slut/whore she turned out to be. Next thing you know she'll be german too, and makeing it big with David Hasselhof. But I was happy to see U2 win some awards, as much as I hate pop I think their alright, and at least they come across as normal real people, the whole award show reeked of superficial smiles and bullshit applauses. To my surprise, Elton and Eminem weren't too bad, they sang their song, did there thing, had a hug, held hands, and then got the fuck off stage like every good preformer knows when to do. Thats about all I feel like saying on the grammy's. |
