| 11.11.03 --- I am obviously having trouble keeping myself motivated to keep up the website.. and I do apologize. Where did I leave off? I think it was after the Cedar Point weekend that i last updated. I will try to remember my life since then. I worked for a week sometime in there and after about 60 hours of roofing in one week, I became very sick of it. Thats all you need to know. On the 23rd of August, we had a Fall Party at our house with a hayride and pumpkin carving and a bonfire... Hey-- it wasn't bad for having decided to have it 48 hours before it began. Other than that, nothing big.. Dave had a birthday, we passed out candy to little kids, watched a scary movie or two. Phil and I drove to Colorado for a week, I went home for a wedding, Phil left for Iraq. Not much going on here. Ok so there was. Phil and i decided to drive my little hatchback to Colorado. The little car was good to us as we did some hiking and visiting of friends. The snow was not fun to hike in, but as always-- the view from the top is worth it. After 2 pull-overs, one ticket, and 13 pieces of gum at once, we made it home--- 18 hours each way... not too bad. Bad is when you drive 18 hours then get up the next morning and drive 5 1/2 more to Michigan. Yeah I went home for a short time for a wedding i was part of. Brian and I botched up the runner and I burnt myself on the sparklers, but other than that, everything went well. My car has 3200 more miles on it than it did 10 days ago and I and sick of riding/driving that thing. And i have saved the sad news for last... the friend i have spent 98% of every waking moment with has been called to Iraq and just left us yesterday. I will miss him and will worry about him until he touches American soil again. Please pray for his safe return. The only redeeming factor is that I get my own room now, but that still does not justify my loss. Goodnite... |
