| 13th of September 2001 So do you wanna know what happened at State? We came 2nd. We are really happy with how we went in this band competition and we can now refer to ourselves as the second best band in the state with a token uni student. (ME!!!) Thanx to anyone who supported us we will always remeber this period of winning stuff and the cool people who liked us. We've had a blast and we thank you. But thats not all... Last night we met one of our influences. Tim Farris from oz legends INXS. Now you could anticipate our nervousness moments before going on that we find out he is a judge. We were fuckin' pumped at that point. Then we started playing and we came out all guns blazing. I mean we were jumping, we were loud we hammered our tunes like we have never played before. Then who do we see on the dance floor... Tim!!! He was out there on our dance floor for 3 tunes. (we played 5) One of my influences on our dance floor. Cut too after the show. We packed up and I felt I had to go say hi. (I mean I used to pause the tape of them at Wembley to work out where his fingers were playing) Me and Heidi walk up and intro ourselves and he was sooo cool. The guy was stked about us. We chatted for ages about all kinds of crazy stuff. Tim and I even had a perve on some girls together. Then we asked for an autograph. We got a phone number!!!! Tim Farris from INXS gave us his phone number!!!! He said he liked us and wants to record us at his studios. 3 days, 2 songs if it sux it sux if it works it will be good. We thought he was drunk and was being wierd but then we got the judges response back. He put his number on the judging sheet!!!! How cool is that.
