| 18th of March We won the first round of the ettalong beach hotel band comp last night. The crowd was against us to begin with but we eventually won them over, even if it took playing 'war pigs'. But after that I think we got some new friends. Thanks to everyone that supported us that night and an even bigger thanks to the lady who said we sucked. It inspired me to better myself in ways that all who were there witnessed. Bigger thanx goes to the guys who bought our cd and who came up to us after we played. You made us feel really good and I just thought I'd let you know that we really appreciate the support. See ya @ the next gig, Cam |

| 26th of March Howdy? Just a quick note to let you guys know how we went yesterday at the Beachy. We didn't win (SIGH). But we did play really well and sold some cds and got some really good responses. But that was not enough to please the judges. I sound like a whiner but we did have a really good time and were covered in sweat and ate some "PEZ". mmmm "PEZ" the only refreshment. Oh well see where not playing covers gets ya? Have fun and keep looking at the skiis I mean skies. Cam. |
| 8th of April Hello all, Just letting you know how we went @ the last couple of gigs. Live at Narara went real well, Ended up getting a real good response from the crowd and the show was recorded. We also played @ Edsaac stadium that night... (Thanx Rob 4 giving us a real good mix) |
| Happy Birthday Heidi!!!!! 5\5\01 Now all of GTBJ are of legal age (in this country) Plus we did a killer show the other night with Primary. we even had guys come to see us who we didn't know and they saw us before. That was heaps cool. We hope we can keep this momentum up so that more people come in the future. Apparantly after our last show someone said to Richard that we were lucky ther were no david lee roth fans there because i introduced myself under that name and he thought i was serious. | 15/5/01 What up Marge? We won the first round of the Newcastle University Band Comp. Last night. We are so fucking excited right now. History of our participation at this event has not faired well for us. But last night we came first. We go straight into the semi and we are going to have to go even harder than we did last night because there was so many good bands who played in that heat it makes you wonder of what all the talent is in the other heats. It's with that in mind that I reckon there shouldn't be 1 winner at the grand final. The judges should have the top 4 bands record a compilation for distribution to labels and all that kind of thing. Because the band that wins may not be around for a while after to really cheerish the win. Bands have a history for splitting up. Anywho we are really excited about how we sound at the moment and know if we are given a chance we won't let you down. |
