| 21st of January Wejust put on a technically good show tonight at the Cat 'n' Fiddle in Balmain. Whilst there was not very big numbers at the start of our set people did start drifting in and I think we got a really good response from them. I saw many rocking heads and heard some cheers at the end of the set. I really enjoyed playing tonight and I'm pretty sure the others did to. We have some new songs which has picked up our vibe a bit as well as the regulars which we are promoting for the cd. I enjoy playing them and we just have a good vibe in the band at the moment. Hopefully we can keep it up. We won't be playing live for about 2 weeks now because I have some shit I have to sought out and we are working on some new tunes which are getting even more energetic. Plus I think our choruses are getting better. But that is my opinion you can make up your own mind. Cam January 19 Howdy!!! I just got homefrom our 1st show ever at the Grand Hotel Wyong. The night went great. We were not sure what to expect but we got a really good crowd. The manager said it was the biggest crowd that hey had since starting the bands there. That really made us feel special. We played very well. However the first set was hindered by a dodgey p.a. But we fixed for the second set and then had a killer night. Thanx again to ll the crazy cats who came and offered support. You made the night a success. Thank you!!! Cam January 16 What a big night!!! We did 3 sets at the Central Coast Leagues club last night for a new thing they are putting on there for local original bands. Obviously we do not have 3 sets worth of original tunes so we played a few covers. The crowd was great. The numbers grew and grew as the night progressed from regulars to new friends and that really gives us hope for our cd. We have to thank a few people for making last night fun. Pete you champ! Thanks for bringing us plenty of drinks and keeping us hydrated for the show. We played a lot of tunes. Nearly all of our songs as well as numbers by U2, Black Sabbath, David Bowie Cheap Trick. But the highlight had to be when Dick and Heid's came out dressed as members of Motley Crue and we played Public Enemy #1. There will be photos on the way... We have another gig like last nights this Saturday at teh Grand Hotel Wyong so come along. It's a big night of funn r n r. Cam January 10 First gig of the year after some nice holiday time. Dick took his family up north for some relax time. Heidi and I took off for a few dayz to visit her dad and came back tanned and relaxed. I even grew a beard!!! We will see how long it stays on my face. Last nights show was pretty cool. We played with a band called Mesha and they were super nice and made sure to come early to see our show, we really appreciate that. As a result we played in front of a good size crowd. As for our performances I thought Heidi and Dick played well but I was a little behind. I knocked over a mic stand and that fucked me for a chorus, then started the next song and my guitar was out of tune, so I tuned on the fly and the went blank and forgot the chords to the song we were playing. I made up for by doing an extra long guitar solo at the end just to make me feel better. Cam December 27 The Last gig for a huge year for us!!! We opened for the Screaming Jets at Mingara and we had an awesome night. Their crew were the best crew we have EVER worked with. They were sooo helpful and appreciated the help from our crew when loading in (Luke, Shane and Nathan) Our show went really well. The numbers were kinda big for the openers which gave us a huge buzz. We debuted a new song called "From the Sun" which got a nice response. I had to lend almost half my gear to Izzy because he was a bit low on it himself that night. As a result they were even nicer. Grant remembered from last time which was cool and was digging my new guitar and the band was heaps nice and let us watch their show from the side of the stage even with my mum, sister and cousin. However Heidi's Mum was not with us. She was front row center in the mosh pit. COOOL! CYA Cam December 15 Hey long time no read. Sorry I have been so long writing but my computer has not been wanting to play. Since my last entry we have had 3 shows and 1 party. Joe's Garage December 6-A bit of a dud gig. We had sound problems (all bands) the whole night. My guitar sounded funny. The foldback was all over the shop and as a result so was Dick and Heidi was kinda sick. It was a hard gig but we soldiered on. Saturday night (after Joe's gig) We through a party for all our crew who have helped us over the year. From our mates who roadie for us to Jarred who helps with promo to our families. It was a great night if only I could remember all of it. But much beer was drunk and there were many sore heads the next day. The Cat n Fiddle December 10-A big improvement from last Friday's show. We improved our attitude and went hard. But I reckon we could have gone harder. We got a good response and made some new friends in the process. It felt good to play after last friday's debacle. Last night, Ettalong Pub-Our last gig there for a while as the old place will be torn down and a new one will be replacing it. We had a really good show. All the negative vibes from last week went out the window and we got down to business, ROCKIN' OUT!!! There ended up being a nice size crowd by the time we played. Unfortunatly there was not much for our mates in Fullride20" when they played but I'm sure the $$$ made t hem feel a little better. Shanny Mishap was there and we played Umina Town with him and Ben (another mate) now we sit back and wait for people to bitch about us playing punk again. Anywho see ya at the next gig with the Screaming Jets. Cam Past Entries Index |
