| How to become a Christian |
| First of all, lets talk about Heaven. Heaven is where God lives. He made everything, even you. He loves you very much and wants for you to be with him there. Heaven is a perfect place, with no sickness, death, or pain. But there is one thing that can never be in Heaven. That is SIN. Sin is anything you think, say, or do that God doesn't like. Fighting, calling people names, stealing, and lying are all sins. I'll bet you can think of a few others. Now if sin was allowed in Heaven, then Heaven wouldn't be perfect anymore. Now this is a problem, because the Bible says: "For all sinned..."Romans 3: 23 Well "all" means everybody! That is me, you, Mom, Dad, EVERYBODY. Now how can we get into Heaven? This is where JESUS comes in. Jesus is God's Son. He was born on earth to live as a human, just like us with one difference. HE NEVER SINNED. Not once. He was perfect, yet He was later killed. He was accused of crimes that He never commited, beaten, spit on, cussed at, and called names. He was then nailed to a cross and hung up to die. During this He said "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do." He deserved only good things, but He was killed. He could have saved Himself, but He didn't. He was letting Himself be punished for our sins. Since He took all of our punishment, we can have our sins taken away! All we have to do is belive that Jesus died for us, and ask Him to forgive you. He will come into your heart, and you will be His child. Maybe you're wondering, how can He live in my heart if He's dead. Well He is ALIVE! Three days after He died, God raised Him up from the dead. Now He is in Heaven, and will return one day to take His children to Heaven. If you want to ask Him to forgive you, you can do it right now. Just talk to Him. Even though you can't see Him, He can hear you. Tell Him you believe in Him. And that you know you've sinned. But you belive that Jesus died for you, to pay the price for your sins. Ask Him to take away your sins, and come into your heart. Be sure and thank Him for this wonderful gift. Be sure and live for Him.
