THE HILL
There
it stood,
gravely
chill,
a threatening
place,
a foreboding
hill,
The
eve was calm, nary a sound,
stars
shimmering bright,
as
the moon shone down,
From
nowhere they came,
robes
black as pitch,
some
called them sorcerers,
some
called them witch,
The
two came alone,
to
lay to rest
the
question of whose art
was
the absolute strongest,
Winds
began to gust,
black
clouds rolled,
the
air flickered with sparks,
as
the dark powers flowed,
Hands
thrust skyward,
lightning
flashed,
thunder
roared,
as
the two magicks clashed,
When
it was finished,
the
moon shone again,
an
eerie white glow,
upon
their blackened skin,
Soundlessly
he came,
riding
a great beast,
from
below he came forth,
to
claim the newly deceased,
Silently
grinning,
clutching
two errant souls,
away
he strode,
to
that abyssal hole,
Quiet
it stands,
deathly
still,
a desolate
place,
a burning
hill.
CREATURES OF THE NYGHT
Black clouds
rolling across the sky,
Savage wolves
howling into the night,
Bats beginning
their deadly, blind fight,
Nocturnals
awakening, creatures of the nyght,
The moon rising
in an eerie red glow,
A bone chilling
wind beginning to blow,
Ancient oaks
swaying left and right,
Something stirring,
creatures of the nyght,
Serpents slithering
upon the ground,
Hungry eyes
watching from all around,
Jaws snapping
to tear and bite,
Blood flowing
free, creatures of the nyght,
Teeth ripping,
claws slashing,
Helpless prey
convulsing, thrashing,
Innocent victims
running in fright,
Hiding from
the creatures of the nyght,
Many a victim
dying in vain,
Many terrified,
going insane,
Demons, Dragons,
Goblins, Wights,
All of whom
are creatures of the nyght,
There is a saying
for those who sin,
Beware the
darkness, for know you not what dwells within,
Heed this warning,
look to the light,
Or someday
fall . . .to the creatures of the nyght.
DESOLATION
Light
of the sun,
Patchy
and scattered about,
by
the gently rolling
yet
playfully intrusive clouds,
Lonely
thoughts,
lightly
meandering through,
drifting
along,
pondering,
but no clue,
An
ocean of emerald,
waves
flowing within,
each
tiny bladed knee,
bending
to the spirit of the wind,
Expanse
of green stretching endlessly,
every
tree seems miles apart,
the
wind sheering across the plains,
here,
more deeply, I feel the desolation in my heart.
UNTIL NOW
And as
I sit and watch the ever luminescent glow of your smile,
my heart
aches to hold you,
For an
eternity have I waited, longing to touch your sweet lips,
praying
our love would be strong and true,
As I
think back to the first eve I saw you, how I pained to take you,
to make
love to you through the entire night,
I wished,
I hoped, I dreamed, I fantasized, I imagined, I pondered,
I wondered,
I thought, I realized, I cried,
I knew
you could never be mine, I knew to myself it was just a lie,
no matter
how badly I wanted, no matter how much I tried,
Because
light seldom shines upon my path, seldom allows me to see,
rarely
am I allowed to roam down the road where my heart may run free,
Always
there is a price, tugging at my luck, always there is a string,
fortune,
destiny, fate never bringing me anything,
Often
I have asked the eternal question, 'Why me? Why me?',
Never
an answer, only pain, only sacrifice, only . . . enmity,
Until
now.
BLACK ROSE
Because she
finds beauty in the night,
And poetry
in silence,
Because she
prefers roses to thorns,
And philosophy
over violence,
There is
one thing as lovely as her smile or pose,
And that
is Her, . . . my beautiful black rose.
VOICES
They
came to me, late at night, during the day,
When
things went wrong, when shit went a stray,
The
screams, oh gods, the screams,
The
infernal howling, the bestial dreams,
Always
did I hear it, always hear Them,
Raging,
cursing, bellowing, I was condemned,
Telling
me I was worthless, telling me to kill myself,
Screaming
for me to close up, Raving that no one will ever help,
"Stone
your heart' they yelled, 'Be cold. No one cares!'
When
I looked inside, at a cold black emptiness did I stare,
AAAAAAAA!!!!
You fucking bastards, leave me be,
kill,
destroy, die, lie, steal, hurt, pain, fear, flee,
The
voices come to me late at night, and during the day,
But
now all they say is, help her, . . . for she is a lot like me.
WHEN YOU NEED
When
you need a hand, I will tenderly offer mine,
When
you need a touch, in my gentle hands you can rely,
When
you need a hug, I will hold you ever so tight,
When
you need comfort, my hardest I will try,
When
you feel lonely, I will warm you through the night,
When
you need your space, I will gladly abide,
When
you are in pain, sadness fills my eyes,
When
you fall ill, I will care for you til you are alright,
When
something upsets you, I will vanquish the blight,
When
you fear the dark, I will be your light,
When
you need protected, for you I will always fight,
When
you are sad, my heart breaks and I cry,
When
you need the truth, I will never lie,
When
you need love, my heart opens wide,
When
you need a friend, I will be your best til the end of time,
When
you need a lover, your desires I will satisfy,
When
you need a partner I will stand by your side,
When
you need a husband, I shall be yours with pride,
You
are everything to me, my world, my life,
and
without you, . . . I would surely die.
