A Biography of Nikolai

Evening...
   I am Nikolai Stanovich.
      A little about me.
I born and raised in Northern Indiana, with the exception of four horrific years in South Eastern Michigan, during my early teen years, in a tiny hellhole known as Blissfield. Ironic it should have that name. It was anything but 'Bliss'. I have been involved with Magick in one form or another since I was about 12 (I am 31, now). I started out down a misled path in Michigan, studying what I thought was true witchcraft, being too young and too inexperienced to know better. The local coven called it 'Teutonic Arts' or 'Germanic Arts'. I realized awhile later that it was a well-disguised path of satannic arcana.
A few years passed and I began studying Enochian Magick, then Shamanism (Cherokee and Lakota Neo-Medicine paths), which eventually led to Celtic Druidism, then into Witta, Wicca, Goetia, then Welsh, Draconi, and now Ancient Egyptian Magick. Presently, I am at my present journey's end.
   A Solitary Eclectic Witch.

A choice few have told me that this does not exist. Well, ...I am here. I exist, and so does my path. I try to have great tolerance for those narrow-minded individuals who cling to the archaic belief that their tradition of Witchcraft is the only one True path, but the more I think about it, the more it reminds me of the narrow-mindedness of another major religion who claims to be the "One True Path". It is sad to think that even among Witches, there is little tolerance and understanding toward other traditions. Silly me, I have always been under the impression that WE were some of the most open-minded individuals on this planet. Maybe someday all the die hard, hardcore strictly traditional Witches and pagans will learn this lesson, but it is doubtful.
I am working to meld the last seven arts I practiced, into one solid eclectic path.
Stones, herbs, Tarot, the Medicine wheel, smudging, candles, animal spirits, forces of nature, totems, elements, gods/goddesses, and the natural raw magickal energy of the soul are the main tools I use to practice my art and religion, but they become more each day.

I have also been researching the most commonly used original form of the four watchtowers (Elements, Quarters, etc.), feeling that the most used set-up today is invalid (Yet another trick of Crowley's). And I am a firm believer and user of the pentagram, the Anhk, And the hexagram, finding equally important use in all three with rituals and the like. After a few more years of devout practice and study, I hope to be able to author a book on a new tradition of Eclectic WitchCraft for Solitaires and/or duets.
