DRAWING DOWN THE SUN
(Revised by Nikolai for Solitary use)

"Great Lord of the Sun,
God of Life and the Bringer of Death,
Lord within ourselves,
Whose name is mystery of mysteries,
Encourage my hearts,
Let thy light crystalize itself in my blood,
Fulfilling of me resurrection;
For there is no part of me that is not of the gods.
Descend, I pray, upon the body of this thy servant and priest(/priestess)."

"Blessed be thy feet, that have brought thee in these ways."

"Blessed be thy knees that kneel before the Sacred Altar."

"Blessed be thy loins, that bring forth the life of man."

"Blessed be thy breasts formed in beauty and strength."

"Blessed be thy lips, that shall speak the Sacred Names."

"Father ancient and divine,
Say to me, O child thine,
I have come to thy shrine.

Thine the rod, and thine the kiss;
The five-point star of love and bliss -
Here I charge you, in this sign."

With the Athame, draw the Invoking Pentagram of Earth - from the top to the bottom left - in the air in front of you.

"By the flame that burneth bright,
O Horned One!
I call thy name into the night,
O Ancient One!
Thee I invoke, by the moon-led sea,
By the standing stone and the twisted tree.
Thee I invoke, where gather thine own,
By the nameless shrine forgotten and lone.
Come where the round of the dance is trod,
Horn and hoof of the goat-foot god!
By moonlit meadow, on dusky hill,
When the haunted wood is hushed and still,
Come to the charm of the chanted prayer,
As the moon bewitches the midnight air.
Evoke thy powers, that potent bide
In shining stream and the secret tide,,
In fiery flame by starlight pale,
In shadowy host that rides the gale,
And by the fern-brakes fairy-haunted
Of forests wild and woods enchanted.
Come! O Come!
To the heart-beat's drum!
Come to me who gather below
When the broad white moon is climbing slow
Through the stars to the heaven's height.
I hear thy hoofs on the wind of night!
As black tree-branches shake and sigh,
By joy and terror I know thee nigh.
I speak the spell thy power unlocks
At solstice, Sabbat and equinox."

If there is magick to be done, it shall be done at this time. The Witches' Chant is recited. Dancing follows, then Cakes and Wine as usual. The Circle is dissolved in the usual manner.
