We Believe:
that all existence has, as origin and final destiny, an impulse we identify as thee Source. All things that are have thee Source as their spiritual birthplace; therefore all things carry within them a spark of or connection to this primal Source. However, some things are at a greater remove from thee Source than others; the greater the remove, the more disharmony with thee Source and it's intentions a thing could be said to exist in.

Since this Source is unknown and ultimately unknowable to us in our present form, we perceive it's action through a series of manifestations that appear to us as deities or god-forms. These god-forms are at only one remove from thee Source, so that - to our perceptions in this plane - they seem to exhibit all the powers and attributes we might expect from thee Source, acting through a distinct personality. We strive to remember that these manifestations, however convincing, are only a limited representation; thee Source, by it's very nature, cannot be limited.
At a further remove from the level of god-form are beings whose nature is not fully divine, yet still of a markedly different order from our present state. These beings are known by many names in this world: angels, djinn, faeries. Amongst ourselves, we may use any of these terms, or others, or none at all. These beings preside over more limited spheres of influence than the god-forms, and so are not considered full deities.

It should be mentioned that while these descriptions are arranged in a hierarchical order to make them understandable to us on our present level, these arrangements in no way imply 'rank' or any sort of value judgement about the relative position of one versus any other.

When a stone is thrown into a pond, it creates ripples. Some are near the center; others are at the edge. So it must be for ripples to exist. Without them, the surface of the water merges as one, which is as it should be, for it is all water. Yet with them, we are able to distinguish one area from another and describe it to each other. These beliefs, then, are descriptions of ripples in reality.
Other Realms exist.. some of such a very different sort from this as to be nearly incomprehensible from this plane. Indeed, there are Realms both closer to and further removed from thee Source. Not all the Realms closer to thee Source are or ever will be Known to us here; but some are near enough to be glimpsed, whispered about, perhaps even - rarely - travelled to. Some of these are known by names such as Faerie, thee Wild Wood, or the Tir. These realms have natural inhabitants, as does this one.

We are separated from these Realms by a phenomenon often called thee Veil. The nature and condition of thee Veil are currently the subject of much discussion and disagreement in certain circles. We hold no set belief about thee Veil other than it's existence. Whether this Veil has always existed and separated realms is also a matter for debate.

Many other worlds exist on a level of reality similar to the one this Realm occupies. At this point in time, we are not in communication with any such realm; however, we believe that such communication can and will be established using versions of the technology we now possess. However, this technology will not and cannot put us in contact with those realms on the other side of the Veil.
As mentioned, there are realms even further removed from thee Source than this one. While it is necessary that such realms exist, they are places that many here might consider hell-worlds. Existence in such a place is not any sort of punishment, but a manifestation of how far one's internal frequency is out of tune with that of thee Source. As any being locates that spark of thee Source within their own soul and moves towards harmonizing with it, they will incarnate into realms more in tune with their soul's vibration and closer to thee Source.

We Believe:

that this realm we currently inhabit is moving in a direction that is in disharmony with thee Source. As it does so, it moves farther away from those realms on the other side of thee Veil. Yet paradoxically (for such things cannot be made to fit 'logical' thought) it is also closer than it has been for many, many years.

We feel that this world is approaching a juncture at which it will be able to connect more closely with those realms across thee Veil. Indeed, this may mean thee Veil itself will drop, although this may not happen equally at all times and places in this realm.

Further, we believe that (re) establishing this connection across thee veil is vital to the survival of this realm as we know it. In order to facilitate this (re)connection, souls from realms on the other side of thee Veil have taken on incarnation in human form. Some of these beings are fully aware of their nature and their role here; some are completely unaware or have chosen to forget or ignore it. Most fall somewhere between. (Not all self-identified 'Otherkin' fall under this definition, and we do not mean to imply that they do. This is merely our theory about those who did make the choice to incarnate here for that reason).
We believe that wild places in the natural world are closer to those realms across thee Veil, as are certain places with a reputation for being 'haunted', 'magical', or particularly beautiful. Such places may harbor gateways where thee Veil is thin, allowing communication with, if not actual access to, realms closest to us on the other side of thee Veil. We hold such places to be sacred, and worthy of our special care and defense.

We believe that many here are subconsciously aware of the Need for (re)connection; yet at the same time, many fear it as some sort of judgement or apocalypse. We find suggestions of it happening cropping up in current mythology, which we see as speculative, fantasy, or science fiction, comics, movies, and the internet.

We do not see this event as anything to fear, even though many popular depictions would have people believe otherwise. In fact, such depictions are as opposed to our beliefs as religious end-times ranters. We feel that as long as one's internal frequency is in tune with that of thee Source, and one's personal expectations do not predict otherwise, this (re)connection will bring us closer to those realms that many of us feel are our 'true' homes.
We also believe that love and compasson are keys to all cultures spiritual awareness & evolvement. Without these no true harmony can exist amongst peoples.

We recognize the existence and action of karma , although that alone should not be the primary reason for altruistic behavior.
Actions out of harmony with thee Source will put one in situations or worlds reflecting that disharmony; the same is true for actions harmonious with thee Source
We also recognize that energie can be and is exchanged between beings; further, that while the nature of the exchange may take different forms, the sum must be equal. Imbalances in exchange are always righted, but if not within thee exchange as they should be, Nature will right them at someone else's expense. Therefore, to avoid this, members will want to give back as much as they take in an exchange.
We see a need to create , not just for our own egos, but to add to the beauty which can exist in this world. We are not out to evangelize in any way, although we wish to be generous to others and - if possible - show them a spark of beauty within ourselves as well as within themselves.

This should in no way be construed as reason or excuse to Awaken anybody. If another comes to a realization ov their own fae nature through contact with one of us or thee Grove, we will be glad to offer whatever assistance we can - if we are asked for it.

However, we do not believe in telling anyone they are fae - or that they aren't. Although we may reserve personal feelings on the matter, if someone identifies themselves to us as an elf, faerie, or similar being, we can only take their word for it. Unless a foolproof Faerie Detector(tm) gets invented, in which case we hope we will pass muster!
