| When they say Punk is dieing, i find we should lean it more to the meanings that no one is a true punk anymore- a rebellion against government rules and laws- but just a bunch of mean day-around pot heads and breakers of all kinds with no reason. The mohawks, the baggy torn beige pants, the army boots and the intimidating faces are what we call a punk nowadays. Modern society's meaning of Punk is a person with the physical appearance as described above, the exessive use of marijuana and the not-needed and not-understood reason of breaking everything for no reason. Where is the true meaning there? No one can truly give a reason for being that. Why are they against the goverment laws and all. Do they even know what's going on anymore? Mostly not... not the young at that! Of course, maybe i may seem off a bit because this "modern trend" may be different in other parts of the world, but it sucks. It just sucks for me because i, which am basically an outcast, can relate to the rebelliousness against the government, but these punks are so fucking mean they don't care, or understand, and will let you be with them just if you smoke weed and seem really mean and anti-social. All in all, some punks are cool- they have firm beliefs and theories and what not but the rest? Try to understand... BACK |
