Little Secret Of Destruction
The light has risen, the darkness chased away,
The emptiness of the streets, the clamness calls to stay.
One door opens, two doors, three. In a moment, they're all in the street.
Chase the money, work yourself off. Traffic jam, honk the horn,
  You've taken the silence away...

''Traffic jam at 6am... heh. What's the world coming to?'', the dark figure stood up and sat higher on the bricked hill to avoid the bad toxics coming out of the vehicles. It was still quite dark outside, but the sun slowly rose out of it's temporary hiding place, revealing a young adolescent in the middle of nowhere. She was quite slim, but not too tall to match. With her hair tide back tightly and darker bangs and spiked hair sticking out on the sides, she wore black 3/4's with fishnets, and a too big, extra-large Deftones t-shirt covered by a dark blue sheep jacket and a dozen necklaces. As she was waiting for the bus to get to her job, she kneeled down over on an old tree, giving in to her tired body.

This was unusual. There were just too many cars on that little unknown road to be normal at this time. But then again, what IS normal in this world?
Then she heard the sirens. She looked up and stared at the racing yellow truck desperately trying to get through the crowd, going over the sidewalk when needed. It seemed to slow down at the corner of the long long street. The ambulance turned right, and after a couple of seconds or so, the sirens stopped.

''Caw! Caw!'' perched on the edge of an old appartment building, an unusually big beautiful black bird landed on a tree branch trying to get the girl's attention.
''Zac, what is it??'' she asked.       *(Zac is the girl's wild pet crow)*
The crow made a screechy sound while pointing its beak to the same corner of the street and fled off in that direction. Something hit her inside. Work could wait. There was something wrong here and she had to find it out.

She got up and was about to cross the street when she heard her name being yelled out.
''Hey! Pandora, Wait!'' She turned around to the shout and saw a dirty-blond headed guy on a skateboard appraoch her at full speed. It was Daniel. No one could mistake that excellent skating talent from anyone else, especially with his dark purple pants.
''Daniel!'' He stopped infront of her and put down the second skateboard he was holding. Now she knew something was wrong; He looked worried and was talking fast and nervously.
''Pan! Did you see!? Did you see it!?''
''No!... See what? I--''
''It's Vinny! I just got a call from Mike about 6 minutes ago. He was with him and-- SHIT! Something terrible happened! We gotta go, Now!''
''Vinny!? WHAT!?''
''C'mon!!!''
'Wh-- Where's Racheal!?''
''We split and she went to try and call the others. Here, take her skateboard and ride we gotta go Now!''

No more questions asked. They got on their skateboards and rode as fast as they could to a place she wasn't sure she wanted to see anymore. She thought of Vinny and grew sad. <Vinny. The best guy out of all of us. He was always there for us when we needed help the most. No one could forget that sweet smile of his, mostly hidden by long bangs of dark brown hair. Life was tough, but he always knew how to make it better. Now this... What could have happened!? What possibly could have screwed up his life even more now? No... Not Vinny. Please be Ok, Vinny. Please, be Ok.>

Pandora watched Daniel turn the corner and she paused, unsure of herslef of if she should turn too and see what happened or just wait for the undirect news. No. She had to go. It was Vinny. He was one of her best friends. He was once even more than that... No. She had to go. She had to be there. She had to see---...
There were bloodstains on the concrete floor. Bloodstains on the sidewalk. And she just froze. She couldn't even feel her heart pound anymore... did it matter? Her eyes were watery and she couldn't even see him. Where was he... Where was he!?

She tried to make her way through a crowd of curious watchers, but a policeman stopped her from going any further and said ''I'm sorry miss. Please step back.'' That wasn't enough to make her just stand there and stare. She pushed her way through and shrieked as she saw him being handled by doctors.
''Vinny... Oh my god!''
''Pan... Pan!'' It was Mike. Oh Mike. She felt his pain... but she pushed him aside and rushed towards Vinny. He was bleeding, and badly. He looked terrible. She couldn't tell if it was a buller, a beating, a hit and run, ro Anything! The blood was clogging up the answer to her question. He was shaking a bit, and as she reached out to him, they pushed her away. The same policeman held her shoulder and gently pushed her behind the lines. She took a deep breath, looked around, and tried to get her senses back. Mike and Daniel were nowhere in sight.
''What happened!?'' she asked the policeman eagerly.
''An accident. But you shou--''
''He'll be Ok, right?'' The policeman turned his head and looked at the body being brought into the ambulance. ''They'll do the best they can.''
''You didn't answer my question! Will he be OK?'' He looked up in the sky, then back at the ground, never fully looking at her. ''I don't know, kid. I really don't know.'' He looked at her strangely now, as though studying her looks.
''Would you happen to be Pandora?'' he asked. She looked up in surprise.
''Yes, that's me.''
''A doctor said that the boy kept calling out the name ''Pandora'' and kept pleading to see her.'' Her eyes started to water even more than before and a tear ran down her cheek. He continued to look at her and actually wore a face of sorrow.
''They're bringing him to the St. Marie Hospital. You can see him there... Don't forget to mention your name is Pandora.'' She forced a weak smile. ''Thanks sir.'' She looked up at the ambulance and griefly wished she had tried to get on it. All was lost. Was it?
