I decided that it was about time that I wrote something coming for me, not somewhere on the Internet. It’s going to pertain to graduation.
Graduation isn’t that far off, practically feels like it’s coming too soon. Most of us can’t wait until that last day is over, but I know I sure could. It’s time for the real world!
Take the time to remember everything that has happened to you while you have been here, and I bet you can think of more than one thing. Every morning in school we hang out at our lockers, laughing and giggling like there is not a care in the world, but soon there will be. We walk to classes, goof off and not care about our education and if we will pass or not until it’s too late. We skipped classes before, and got suspended and detentions. We’ve done a lot of stuff together.
You’ll never forget your favorite teacher(s) and how they changed you in one way or another. As you sit down on the field things will go racing through your head, if not sooner. You’ll begin to miss everything that has gone on in high school.
How will you ever forget Mr.Rutkowski throwing books to us the very first day we were in there? I’m never forgetting that I almost got hit with a few! Or how Mr.Nov’s classes were long and boring, not too mention those movies! How about the times in Home EC with Mrs.Howatch? We cooked up some good foods and made some pretty nifty crafts. And you can’t forget about Mr.Rees! He has the yellow pencils (Right, Jess?), and the vocab tests I use to cheat on.
Tech. There is no way anyone who goes to Tech can forget about it. Sitting at lunch together, eating Chocolate Cream Pies (great ice cream, I’m going to miss), talking about another classmate and having fun. Those are good times. Tech graduation is sooner than we think, too. Seeing all the familiar faces in the hallways is no longer going to be!
When school rolls around next year, you’ll be sitting home. You’ll hear a bus go by your house and you’re going to want to be on that bus going back with them. You’ll truly miss those days of high school.
Some things I’m never going to miss are the crowded hall ways at Nanticoke; practically push your way through them and the bus ride up to Tech! There are way too many bumps.
Hold your head up high, and make the best of high school while you can.
