Raika is an Arctic wolf who recently turned two. Her fur color is more ivory than white, like the color of a bone. She has a pair of intense crystal blue eyes that could pierce one's soul. On her right front paw, two toes are missing, having been caught in a trap when she was 9 months old; she managed to pull free, losing her toes but saving her life! Raika is of average size for her a female.
When she was younger, she was born to a newly formed pack, consisting of only her, her mother and father, and other siblings. One day, when her parents were out hunting, the pups were left alone in the den. They were oblivious to a group of humans that had gathered outside, watching them. When their parents returned, the humans knew it was a perfect time to strike. The adults were fat and full of meat, and the humans slaughtered them then came for the pups. Only Raika manage to escape, by pure luck; she fled from the den and ran as fast as possible. When she was sure she was safe, she collapsed to sleep.
An old she-wolf found Raika there and took care of her until she was about a year old. One day, Raika found up to find the old wolf had died during the night. She fled again, unable to bear the sight of her deceased friend, who had treated her like a mother. She went off to seek a new family. After several months, she came upon a sandbar on the beach, almost hidden by mists. By the light of the full moon, she ran across this sandbar, having a feeling it would lead her somewhere. At last she reached the shore of a new world and walked into the forests that would bring her to happiness. Days later, she discovered the clearing of the Silver Mists, who became her new family.
Raika was initiated on September 6, 2004, at an unofficial pack meeting. On that day she became huntress. On September 7, a day later, she began courting Anyas Amarante. She then began a long LOA. On April 26, the rank of Huntress was abolished, and she was demoted to packmate until she can choose a new rank. She and Anyas became mates on June 6, 2005. On July 5, she returned from LOA, to the pack's delight. She and Anyas began training to be Caretakers together on July 12, 2005 and became the caretakers officially on July 26. Their first litter was born August 17. SHe left the pack with her family, and they were removed from membership in March 2006.
Raika is mate to Anyas, mother to Nakaji, Amrik, Shinji, Breeze, Yeja, & Alynia.
