Lyanesse was a four month-old Timberwolf pup of average size born June 10. She had gray blue eyes that were becoming golden brown, dark and bewildering. Her soft, bushy fur was the color of honey and graham crackers, different shades of brown and gold all over. The fur on her belly, chest, and chin was as white as starlight, as was the tip of her tail. Her left hind paw was white, and her right front paw was black. She looked much like a young lion cub, though she was a wolfess.

Lyanesse was one of four cubs born to the Alphas of a small, newly-formed pack from the mainland. They left their former pack, to flee from its barbaric customs. She was barely two months old when her parents former packmates attacked in the middle of the night. Her mother and father fought bravely, but were slaughtered as their cubs watched in horror. Lyanesse did not understand why her family was attacked, but she heard the words "disgusting" and "sympathy" and also the name "Yenko." Her siblings were scruffed by the females and taken away, to be raised as barbarians by the pack no doubt.

Lyanesse struggled with all her might to escape the grasp of the female who tried to capture her. She managed to escape and fled into the forest at full speed. After two days' journey, she came to the shore and could go no further... but in the mists, she saw a path leading into the water. Having nowhere else to go, she set out to cross it and found herself, hours later, in the land of Mysticia. Once into the forest, she curled up in a bush, exhausted, and slept for nearly a day.

The next morning, she followed the scent of wolves to the Silver Mists clearing, where she was greeted by Alicorn and HowlingMoon. They gave her food and water and listened to her story. Having no other home to go to, Lyanesse decided to stay there with her new friends. On August 17, 2004, she was initiated as a pack pup! A few weeks later, she was reunited with her siblings. On November 12, she was found in the northern forest by Alicorn. The free-spirited forest wanderer apparently became lost in a snowstorm and froze to death. She was buried in the purple valley, along with other fallen Silver Mists.

Lyanesse was the sister of Obsidian & Nala, daughter of Nurako and Saurabi.
