Abiku Katara Amarante is five years-old. She is a beautiful Greywolf weighing 70lbs and being 34 in tall. She is about five feet in length. She has beautiful snow white fur and emerald green eyes. Katara is very playful and happy with her big family.

Katara was born to a lone pair called SunWlf and ShadowFang. Her name then was Abiku. Her siblings died of disease before they were even named, but she survived. Unfortunately, when she was just a few months old, a rabid cougar attacked her little family. Her parents fought the beast, while she ran for safety. She returned to find her father dead and mothering missing. She searched very hard, but couldn't find her mother. She wandered for many years alone then, changing her name to Katara during her travels, as her old name reminded her of her pain.

At last she came to the home of the Silver Mists. There she met a wolf whose scent was much like her mother's. Alicorn and her mate quickly took Katara in and made her feel at home. Years later, Alicorn finally revealed to her that she was, indeed, her biological mother.

She was initiated in August 2001 and was Alpha until March 19, 2002. [She joined July 23, 2001 as Alpha SnowWolf, who died, and returned as Katara] She disappeared shortly before the pack fell and returned on August 12, 2004, just a few months after it began to regroup. She was welcomed home with joy and granted the rank of Sentinel. Just days later, she became Gamma female when CinderPaws vacated the position. In October, she was promoted to Beta female and then to Alpha female.

Katara began the adoption process of Grey_Wolf just weeks after his arrival at the pack. The process was long, because of their ever-changing family. Katara became the mate of Takoda, who left the pack not long after. She then began courting MoonHowl, who took a leave of abscense before they could become mates. When her former mate ShadowWlf returned, she dissolved her courtship with MoonHowl to rebuild her family with him. After the birth of their second litter, she stepped down to packmate to focus on motherhood for a while. (She had to take an LOA for OOC reasons). She returned several months later and was soon returned to the rank of Alpha, but because she was not active enough, she was demoted to packmate on September 6 until she could prove herself most capable of holding the position. After a lengthy LOA, Katara returned as was elected to become Beta. However, she was unable to be around often enough for the rank, and was placed as packmate. Later on Katara left the Silver Mists, only to return to us on January 8th, 2007. She was appointed to the rank of Sentinel that same day. During the February 5th, 2007 meeting, Katara became courts with Xeno. On that same day she was appointed the rank of Beta and so was promoted.

Katara is the daughter of Alicorn and former mate ShadowFang. She is the sister of CinderPaws, Chalcedony, Sunflare, Anyas + Raika, SilverStorm and foster sister to Kamatz, Cryos, and FirE^PawS + Khan-. Her mate is ShadowWlf. She is mother to Snow^Whisper & MoonFire and GreyWolf (adopted), mother-in-law to Kindar (ShadowWlf). She is the aunt of CrystalStar, GrizzlyPaws, DarkenedStorm, NightCry & MoonDreamer (FirE^Paws & Cryos), EmberStar, DiamondFire, Ali_Paws, DarkTail, MistyMoon (FirE^Paws), Fire^Fang & BlackenedRain (adopted by FP & Cryos). She is the great-aunt of CriDoux, Moonlight, Krys, Starlight, and Esprite (BR). She is the spiritual neice of RedWolfie, Sheyin, and Zimazk and spiritual cousin to Mariel, Matthias, Mattimeo, Sayna (Red) as well as Solara, The_Redwolf, FlamingRain, Kalima, Seeker, SilverPaws, Jupiestar, NightPaw, Fairlight, EmberEyes, and Leto (Sheyin).

Katara is the neice of Malachite, AngelWolf + NyteHowl, Rubyna + HarvestMoon, Topaz, and FirE^Wolf. She is the cousin of Zephyr and CelticHowl (Fire), NightWhisper & NightZephyr (AngelWolf), and Rubyna II (Rubyna); first cousin once removed of FeatherPaw, Fire^Whisper, BladeHowl, SwiftPaw, MythClaw, Raelyn, Whitefire, Kalsara, SeiferSpirit, Alyieska, Fale (Zephyr), MercuryWlf (NightWhisper) Silver-Paw, CrescentCub, JynxWlf, BlackPaws, IceRose, Sashi, & WinterTwilight (Celtic). Her first cousins twice removed are LightSpark and ShadowStreak (Raelyn). She is the granddaughter of CrimsonStar & Sapphira (maternal). These wolves, the biological relatives of her foster mother, are more like distant cousins. Her true family, listed above, are the Silver Mists.
