CinderTail "GrizzlyPaws" Amarante, is a 3 and a half year old Timberwolf with golden eyes. She has very soft, long, bushy fur that is brown and gold with black streaks and speckles. There is a black marking on her chest that closely resembles the paw of a bear. She stands 2'7" tall and is 4'5" long. She weighs only around 70 lbs, but her fur makes her seem a lot larger and heavier than she really is. That, along with the marking on her chest, is where her name comes from.
GrizzlyPaws was born in January of 2002. She knew of only one parent, her mother. Her mother left her pack and mate shortly before giving birth. At the age of six weeks, humans invaded the cave the small family used for a den. Her mother was awakened by the new scent in her den and the yelps of her pups. She only saw a quick glance of her pups being taken away before something made a loud noise, and something hit her shoulder. There was terrible pain, and then, she fell into a deep sleep. When she awoke, her pups were gone. She searched for weeks before finally accepting that they would not return.
GrizzlyPaws was shoved into a bag and heard a human say "Let's get out of here." She could feel the bodies and hear the breathing of her brothers in the bag, but she knew not where she was going. The next thing she knew they were put into large square things made out of metal. There were only little holes to let light and air in. Then, they were put onto a monster that made horrible noises as it moved. Her ears were ringing from the sound, and she felt sick from the motion. After several hours, they were released into a small area surrounded by metal. This was much larger and had trees and a river and a rock den; it almost looked like home. GrizzlyPaws soon discovered that she and her brothers would entertain humans in something called a zoo, where many other animals were caged as well. There was no escape.
Months went by, and her brother pups eventually fell ill and passed away. She was forgetting the image of her mother, and her hope of ever being reunited with her. Then one day, the human who brought her a daily supply of food accidently left the door slightly ajar when he left for a moment. Grizzly made a run for it and just made it through the door as the human ran after her. She ran as fast as she could until she finally reached the forest. Her first few months were very rough, for she had to learn how to hunt and take care of herself. When she wasn't hunting or sleeping, she searched for her mother, wanting to be reunited with her. Days became months, and months became years...but to no avail.
For a while, she settled down in a pack. She even found a mate and had a litter of seven pups in the spring of 2004. Four of the pups died at birth, unfortunately. All good things must come to an end, and sadly, she lost touch with her mate and pups. Once again, she was left to wander on her own, still seeking her birth family.
At last, Grizzly realized that was utterly alone and had to accept it. She wandered on her own, until at last she came to the sea. The moon was full, and as she watched the waves, a sandbar appeared. She followed it all night, until at she reached a new shore. Not long after, she heard a distant howl and immediately ran towards the sound. She caught the scent of new wolves, not far away. Instead of finding her mother, as she wished to do, she found a new family when she stumbled into a clearing of wolves. They welcomed her and allowed her to eat and rest, and they became her friends. Days later, she realized that FirE^PawS, the beta female, was her mother, and her dream came true after all.
GrizzlyPaws was made huntress, but was demoted during a long LOA. She returned on February 15, 2005 and was reinstated to her rank a week later. She had to take another LOA after that. During that time, the rank of Huntress was abolished, and she had to be demoted to packmate until she can choose a new rank. She returned on July 5, 2005, and the pack hopes she is home to stay. On July 12, she began training to be a Sentinel. On July 26, she became Sentinel, began courting GhostWolf, and began the process of adopting Inukalica. On August 9, she began training for Head Guardianess. She left in mid-September for personal reasons.
GrizzlyPaws is the daughter of Cryos and FirE^PawS & sister to & MoonDreamer and EmberStar, granddaughter of DarkFang. She is the foster sister of BlackenedRain & Fire^Fang. She is the granddaughter of Alicorn and StoneWolf, her mother's adoptive parents, & great-granddaughter of SilverDawn. She is thus neice to Katara + ShadowWlf, Naicila, Chalcedony, SilverStorm, SunFlare, CinderPaws, Kamatz, and Anyas + Raika. She is the cousin of Snow^Whisper and MoonFire + Kindar. She is aunt to CriDoux, Moonlight, Starlight, and Esprite (BR); great-neice of RedWolfie, Sheyin, and Zimazk (Ali); first cousin, once removed, to Mariel, Matthias, Mistwolf Mattimeo, Sayna (Red), Solara, The_Redwolf, FlamingRain, Kalima, Seeker, SilverPaws, Jupiestar, Nightpaw, Fairlight, EmberEyes, and Leto (Sheyin). She is the step-daughter of Khan- and step-granddaughter of RebelWolf, neice to Manx. She is the guardian of Inukalica.
