As time moved on, past the time of The Prayer, Fantasia's heart grew troubled once more. Just as it had been when they had first met, he began to withdraw into a world of his own and payed little attention to Midnight or anyone. The problem grew to the point where he would drug himself to find comfort and forget this unseen force that tormented him. His pain was not invisable to anyone, esecialy Midnight and Auryn. At this point Midnight pleaded with Fantasia to let her be his sorce of comfort, but he refused and only sat in silance, stearing into space.
Then in a fit of madness he would run and hide in a corner and cover himself with his cloke, shivering and wimpering. This behavior made Midnight concerned and frustrated, feeling unloved and hurt. After a year of this she pulled almost fully away from the hope that there was anything between them at all. Auryn wanted things to return back to normal, but every time he tried to have a sober conversation with Fantasia, only silance would come. Finaly, unnerved and out of paisance with his brother, Auryn stormed into Fantasia's room, and told him what he thought of his actions and demanded a reason for it all.
No sooner had Auryn finished then Fantasia had his hands around his neck, choking him! After only a few seconds, Fantasia just droped to the ground too weak to move. For a moment, Fantasia saw the figure of a man huvering above Auryn, who now leaned over him in concern. He then remembers awaking in bed. Ireland, Midnight, and Auryn sit around the harth in his room where a warm fire burned bright and low. Auryn was talking to them. "They call these spirits Seeker's, and they can be very powerfull.."
Midnight cut in. "Can't my powers block such spirits from tormenting us?"
"No Midnight, they can't. Every one has a seeker, They can be what the humans call a gardian angel, or they can appear to be the demonds seen by spiritually inclined people or strange allucive visions of the heat oppressed brain." Auryn looked over at Fantasia and sighed, and turned his gaze back to the sisters. "Both him and I have seekers, but they are two diferent kinds. His torments him, and drives him to do insane things. Mine is my protecter. When we are unconciase or druged our seekers are capable of taking controll of us because our minds are blocked from the full controole of our bodies. His like to get angery and kill, but mine was able to save me from the attack."
The next morning the sisters awoke to find their lovers gone. In the years to come, Midnight would bond to a man named Valkar, and Ireland would bond to the soul brother of Auryn, whose name was Jefar L'Amuor Secraw. |
