| Cards are stupid. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Every December and January I go to get the mail and find a bunch of Christmas cards. What is the point of these things? Some people pay three dollars for each one of those cheap pieces of cardboard that have pictures of reindeer saying "Merry Christmas". Thanks, now I have to take the trash out more often because it's stuffed with Christmas cards. I'm assuming that the rule "It's the thought that counts" is supposed to apply to this matter. Since someone actually had the ambition to send me some pointless card in the mail to me, I should feel special and loved. Well that's a lie- the thought doesn't count. If the thought counted, people would be happy if we gave them our empty laundry soap bottles because that means we were thinking of them this Christmas. Christmas cards have no point, and that's why I don't give people cards. I would rather someone go out and buy me a bag of potting soil and send it to me in the mail than a Christmas card. At least I can use the potting soil. The only way cards should be used is to hold money. If the card doesn't have money in it, then there's no point for the card. Even then, I would just make my own card because it isn't worth spending money on a card for someone to pretend to read it, then throw it away. Who actually reads the card? Most people just stare at the card after they open it, wondering: 1. what they will buy with the money they received in the card. 2. why the person who gave them the card didn't put any money in it. Either way, cards have no point. If you are stupid enough to buy cards, you can purchase a few from me. I'll make cards and sell them to you for five dollars each. SAMPLE CARDS: |
