Trip to Paris, 20-22 June 2003
Sunday 22/06/03.
We took a boat tour on the Seine today and saw really beautiful things, most of them bridges.
A lot of the photos on this page don't actually have comments as I have no idea what the things are called... Oops...

The first of many bridges, le Pont de l'Alma. Le Zouave is standing on the other side.
On the way somewhere to dump our luggage for the day, we passed these eh... flat escalators? Anyway, they had a high-speed one as well, but that was closed. Think they had too many accidents there... hahaha!
Then, after dumping our luggage in some train station, we went in search for a tour boat. And we found one! It was over 36 Degrees outside and it was boiling. Luckily there was a lot of wind on the boat, it was heaven! :o) Here we passed the Eiffel Tower...

This is La Gare d'Orsay, transformed into a 19th century museum and mainly known for its Impressionist collection.
Le Pavillon de Marsan,
part of Les Tuileries.
We could even see Notre Dame from the boat!
Oh how I envied these ppl who can just lie at the Seine with their books etc when the sun is shining...
Not like those shitty parks in Dublin...
And once again the Eiffel Tower...
Are these ppl cute? They were having their own boat tour in their tiny little rowing boat. I particularly love the French flag...
Yes, this is indeed Le Zouave,. It looked so different upside down that I didn't realize I had already photographed it. Ah, who cares, it's fab! :o) In the past it was a reference to measure the level of the river during floods. It's name is derived from a previous regiment from North Africa.
Look Mom, I'm in New York!
I basically had to drag Vincent along to Hard Rock Cafe, but in the end he came along and I bought a T-shirt as usual.
No, no food. With French food around, who wants a burger?!
Hahaha, just kidding, still in Paris...
The Americans decided to be cheesy and give the French the same present back as the French have given the Americans. Only a lot smaller... Size doesn't matter?
Very unflattering but who cares? It's me in Paris! Whoopie!!!
On our way to the airport I just had to make a quick stop at l'Arc de Triomphe. I just think it's tres fab and I hadn't had the chance to take a proper picture of it. So we passed it on the way back to the bus and had our last French lunch afterwards. Buhuhuhu... I really liked Paris and I will so be back one day! :o)
