Tremere wasnt happy with just the one, oh no, he had to have more. After embracing those close to him, he set his sights on another immortal. His target this time was Saulot, our peaceful brother. The clan needed to be strong to survive the coming nights. Tremere did as he sought to do; he performed the Amaranth upon Saulot. I can still hear the screaming and crying of his childer and grandchilder now.
They began to systematically destroy any Salubri they found no matter where they were. Word went out across Europe that the Salubri were in league with Satan and then some, that they couldnt be trusted. The Tremere prayed on the innocence of the populous, and their religious fever.
Their strange powers elude us, meaning we cannot figure out how they manage to do the things they do. They can manipulate the blood unlike anything I, we, have ever to witness in our unlives. That may be why they are hated and feared, that they have these new powers and we, who are the rightful childer of Father Caine, do not. The Tzimisce, the fiends hate them for their defilement of their elder, the rest of us hate and despise them not only for their ways, but also for what they did to Saulot. After all, isnt it conceivable that these Warlocks could turn on any of us at anytime, just like poor Saulot?
Of all of my brethren, these mages I trust as about as much as Id dine with the local Nosferatu. They spend their nights locked away in their Chantry in Vienna, where they work their twisted magics' and rites. They have allies, strange looking creatures that look very much like the gargoyles I have glimpsed at night on Notre Dame. Is this more of their handy work? I have my suspicions. Rumour runs rampant, thanks in part to those skulking Nosferatu, that the Gargoyles are in fact another breed of vampire. If this is true, those of the clan go to far. I fear it gets worse then that; rumor also has it that those Gargoyles are in fact members of the Gangrel clan. What could they be thinking? That doesnt really matter I suppose, Id rather not know why they do what they do. Their terrible magics may be the reasons the Gangrel havent climbed the Chantry walls to have their revenge.
Be careful around them, guard your mind carefully and mind your feelings, these demons know more then we have yet to discover.
