Throughout the ages the clan can always be found near a mortal artist or creator; why not stay where the center of the works are coming from, saves traveling costs. The Golden Age, most Elders of the clan can recall a time when the splendor of Rome was theirs and the clan could live in excess and wealth, and among the beauty of its art and people. They work tirelessly to preserve the works created during that age.
Currently they are embroiled in the Church, those of Western Europe are awed by the art that has sprung up in the gilded cathedrals, these houses of God. Even I will admit they are striking, but I am not enamored with them like the Toreador. They happily help in the construction of new cathedrals continent wide, though, and I find this rather interesting. When they are shown something of great beauty, they seem to go through a period of what can only be taken as nirvana or rapture, puzzling creatures they are.
They still cling to their need for pleasure and luxuary. Its quite easy for a Toreador to succumb to all manner of pleasures, from grand to mundane, its the temptation that drives them. Their attraction to all forms of temptations is legendary, epic if you will. Nightly they search for the answers to any and all questions they come up with, its another thing that drives this clan, the clarity of truth. The search has been the downfall of many a Toreador; their passion and drive for it has led them to final death in many horrific ways.
They sneer at all the political upstarts from all the clans, that hasnt won them any respect in the eyes of elders in the various clans. Whom do you think backed that young Ventrue, why does he have the throne in Londinium? Take a wild guess. The Artisans know they are hated, reviled or not even thought of, they dont seem phased by this in the slightest. All they need know is that the fruit of their labours is paying off, their vision has never been clearer.
