Before his death, Saulot taught his children many mysteries, be it healing or life itself. Saulot traveled far and wide seeking knowledge from every corner of the known and unknown world. Its whispered that Malkav and Saulot were very close, and that Saulot was the only one who could sooth the madness within Malkav. Only those who were in the second city know for certain.
Yes, I said warriors. You could call them holy warriors. I believe this caste of the clan came about shortly after one of Saulot's own took a darker path, thus giving birth to the Baali. Treacherous vampires that truck with the devil, who worship him and commit unspeakable acts. Its because of the Baali that I believe the caste of warriors came about, to kill this disease known as the Baali. They are an abomination to God and all things holy. I will not mourn their passing as I did Saulot. Its rumored, and I frankly dont believe that another Salubri aided the Baali in any way. Its not possible! Those of Saulots childer who were with him when his childe turned darker, know that this pained him deeply. No childe of Saulot would dare betray their father. Its got to be a lie, something cooked up to make the light that shined upon Saulot look more darker.
During the time of the Second City, Caine, our Father vanished from his children. Saulot grew despondent with Caine absent. Rumors curculated, what they were I really dont know, I only know they werent favourable. Shortly after Saulot went into the long sleep, Tremere did the unthinkable. As I mentioned before hand, Tremere performed the Amaranth upon Saulot and ordered the destruction of the clan. This is why they are being turned out all over Europe.
The hunt for the Salubri has done serious damage. Their numbers are low and knowledge is lost. More then one fledgling Salubri has been forced to flee shortly after their Embrace, learning on the road as they ran. What remains of the clan have had to learn to live by sheer wit alone; its what will keep this proud and distinguished clan around to see the Usurpers destruction. No one clan despises the Tremere more then the Salubri. Our anger over the death of gentle Saulot cannot compare to that of the remaining clan.
If one night, you are sitting before your cold stone hearth, and a visitor arrives seeking shelter, and he or she just happens to be Salubri, shelter them, do not hand them over to those god forsaken Tremere. Would you like the same to be done to you, if those devils were hunting you and yours down, slaughtering all you knew? I think not. Heed my words my brothers and sisters, care for the Salubri, not out of pity, but out of a sense of honor and duty.
