At first I had minor difficulty with the Laimia, they are a bloodline of the Cappadocians. Even more astonishing is the fact that these immortal women can directly link themselves to that of Adam and Lilith. Being an outsider I was given little information to go on about the Laima. I was disgusted to hear according to my Cappadicoan informant, that the only daughter of our Dark Mother, has , well someone's sexual advances forced on her when Lilith refused. Dispicable to say the very least.

When these women were living beings, they would often take into their beds a male servent or slave, afterward the poor man was sacrified in hopes that the Lamia would concieve a female child. To me when I was still breathing that might have given me great pause, now, as an immortal being, death is death even if some thing it serves the greater good. Ah, but I stray off topic.

As time passed the worship of the dark mother slipped into deeply hidden secrecy, where it remained until the night a Cappadocian found one of their temples. Swathed in shadows he watched as Lamia performed her rites and rituals to the Dark Mother, so touched was he that he stepped out of his hiding place. Then and there before the very alter of the Dark Mother he took her and embraced her. He imparted unto his childe many mysteries, telling her that she would have an eternity to study death and pay tribute to the Dark Mother. With a wry grin she motioned for her sire to bend low so that she may whisper something to him, what was spoken has never been documented, one can only speculate as to what she did indeed tell him that night.

As far as I was told the Cappadocian responsiable for her Embrace has never spoken to her again, why I don't know for certian nor does my shadowy companion. It's rumored that whenever she finds herself in his company that she will look in his direction and mouth something to him, this causes the usually stoward Cainite to go ghostly white. The young one's think he became this hermit this shadow of his former self in order to rid himself of this loathsome childe. Who can say for certian, her sire mayhaps, if he's still walking somewhere.

They travel together, where the Cappadocians go, so do the Lamia. Both clans share their drive and hunger for knowledge. The Lamia are an enlightened group, they believe they should be nothing if not themselves, what they have become, predators. They thirst for any knowledge they can grasp in their cold dead hands, albeit they prefer to actually experience what most of their parent clan prefer to read about, thus, in my opinion giving them a leg up so to speak.

The Lamia have an infectious bite, meaning when they feed from a mortal they pass on a type of plague. Kinder Lamia will in fact feed rom the dead then burn the bodies, this way the infection won't spread. A mortal feed upon by a Lamia, may not succumb to the effects of the plague right then, a few days later he of course will die, the infection works quickly. A Cainite caught feeding off a Lamia won't die, but will instead become a carrier of the disease thus passing it on to the next mortal or Cainite upon which they sup.

Lamia are quite rare, and can often be found serving as bodyguards for members of the parent clan. Though they have voiced their opinions about certian things they feel are sacriligious at best they do tend to fall silent, though as the nights carry on the growing tension tinged with animosity grows with the passing phases of the moon. This also I think has to do something with the small number of Giovanni that also are a part of this ancient bloodline, I believe the Lamia are actually jealous of these fledglings. How utterly small of the Lamia to act like spoiled children.
